Our 'Elk Summit' home is in the exclusive Windcliff Estates, located just a few miles outside of the town of Estes Park and only a few minutes away from the YMCA of the Rockies. This home is very busy in the summer so we request that guests check in on Saturday and check out the following Saturday. If that's not enough time at the Elk Summit home your welcome to book two weeks or more as long as you're checking out on a Saturday. This policy does not apply to the offseason or shoulder seasons. brbrThis 6,200 square foot luxurious mountain home provides unbelievable views of the Continental Divide and Rocky Mountain National Park. It is large enough that it can accommodate your whole family and give you the privacy you desire. When entering this majestic home from the front entry prepare to have your breath taken away! You're immediately welcomed into an inviting Great Room with a gas fireplace, and an absolutely incredible view of the Rockies spanning two levels with floor to ceiling windows. To your right lies the executive gourmet kitchen equipped with top of the line, brand new appliances and granite countertops. Everybody will want to be a chef and use the sub-zero refrigerator, double Viking oven with warming drawer, and Wolf gas range and hood. This kitchen has plenty of dinnerware to help you serve all of your family and friends during your holidays and special gatherings. To the left of the Great Room, lies one of the two enormous master bedroom suites with a special sliding glass door entrance onto the deck. It is loaded with amenities including in a gas fireplace, king bed, flat screen HDTV and a walk in closet fit for a star! You can relax in a little bit of heaven in the master bathroom complete with in-floor heating (throughout the entire house), a jetted bath for two, double vanity, granite countertops, ceramic tile and a steam shower with full body shower heads, and a tranquil overhead rain shower head. You can really melt away all of your stress in this spa environment! Also to be clear, there is a jetted tub in the bathroom, but no outside hot tub on the property.brbrTravel upstairs to the log I-beam loft and once again view the sights of the mountain range through the wall of windows spanning both floors then venture out on the deck to enjoy the serenity and smell the fresh mountain air. It truly has spectacular views, especially during the sunrise and sunset hours of the day. Stand at the log banister and overlook the Great Room below or turn to the left and visit the second master bedroom. This room has rustic log furniture, a walk in closet, gas fireplace, flat screen television and of course, more views. The master bath has a double vanity with granite countertops, ceramic tile and a steam shower. The bedroom next to the master houses a bunk bed with two full size beds. The closet in this room contains toys, books and games to entertain both children and families alike. Just outside the door of this room lies another full bathroom. The final bedroom on this floor is quite charming and has a queen bed, a private full bathroom and a wood lined cathedral ceiling. Go down the hall and find yourself in a lovely family room with a gas fireplace, wet bar with granite countertops and views, views and more views. Keep on the lookout; we have seen Elk, deer, hawks and even a few wild turkeys! We also have heard bear and bobcat sightings are common in the area, so have your camera ready!brbrThe final floor is the basement, located at ground level. That's right; there are still amazing views from here! There is another Great Room with a gas fireplace, wet bar with granite countertops, sink, and an extra refrigerator. Off of the Great Room is the Theatre room equipped with an HDTV, BluRay player and surround sound. Down the hallway are a full bathroom and the final guest bedroom with a queen bed. Laundry facilities are also on this level.brbrThis home is really a delight for all who enter with its amazing views, ski lodge feel and enough space to accommodate all of your guests with ease. With Rocky Mountain National Park and the YMCA just minutes away you will have plenty to do, not to mention all of the wonderful shopping and dining establishments located in Estes Park. This 1950's log cabin vacation rental in Estes Park, Colorado(approval 20-NCD0371), offers 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a large covered front porch, outstanding views, a fully furnished kitchen, laundry room, free internet, 50+ inch smart TV with DVD player in the Living Room and tv’s in the Master Bedroom and both upstairs bedrooms. There are breathtaking views from every room in the house. Effort has been made to maintain the vintage charm while updating and furnishing the home. Many of the items are unique, vintage, and one of a kind. Although it is very close to Estes Park and all the activities, shopping, and restaurants, it sits just off the main road and is surrounded by open space so you are away from the road and have a private feel. You can be in town or to the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance in about 7 minutes and there is fishing as well as a trolley stop .2 mi. up the road in front of Estes Park Campground at Mary' Lake that runs during the summer. The 2 car garage interior has been finished so it is now the ultimate picnic shelter right across from our outdoor picnic area. It is stocked with outdoor games and extra tables and chairs for those who would rather sit under a roof.brbrOutside there are numerous places to enjoy the view. Our favorite spot is from the covered front porch, which is furnished with rocking chairs during summer months. There is a custom picnic table in the front yard . To the north of the cabin is an open area with a fire pit, iron benches, and log seats where you can play games or sit, enjoy s’mores, view the stars and overlook the valley. We have badminton , corn hole, and a giant Jenga game for outdoors as well as many games, puzzles and books inside for all ages. There is a convenient ramp so you can enter the cabin without having to carry your belongings down stairs. When you exit there is a road through the field that connects back to the road. We see elk and deer, along with many other forms of wildlife, almost every time we visit, especially in the early morning and evening. They love to drink from the pond and munch on the Aspen and Willows that grow along the stream.brbrThe living room features beautiful hand made aspen furniture, a comfy queen sofa sleeper, 50 inch TV, wood burning fireplace and several rocking chairs, including a recliner.brThe dining room features a pine trestle table that was hand made by Mennonite craftsman and 6 sturdy pine chairs. There is also a pine bench for additional seating and a corner cabinet filled with games and puzzles. brThere is a fully furnished kitchen with newer appliances and everything you would need to cook for your group, whether it be a casual dinner or a full Thanksgiving meal. We have a set of nicer stone wear as well as melamine dishes and cups. There are several coffee makers, crock pots, microwave safe options for cooking and heating, waffle maker, electric griddle, toaster, all new cookware and utensils as well as a few vintage items for your use during your stay.brThe Master Bedroom, on the main floor, has a queen log bed, bench, TV stand with storage and ample closet space. One upstairs bedroom has an antique queen bed, a comfy leather chair poised to take advantage of the views, a dresser, nightstand, and closet. The other upstairs bedroom has 2 single bed options, log dresser, and a closet. The upper level also has a reading/nook with a desk where you can work while enjoying the view. There is wi-fi access to a myriad of viewing options using your online accounts such as Netflix, Amazon, and Roku, and a library of DVDs, books, puzzles, and games. We have installed a retractable gate at the top of the stairs so that if you have smaller children you can close and lock it when you are upstairs. We have also kept all cleaning supplies up and out of reach.brbrWe are a licensed vacation rental . A recent survey suggests over 70% of the vacation rentals operating the Estes area are illegal. Legal licensed vacation rentals in the Estes area must meet local building codes, safety requirements, parking requirements, pay taxes and provide commercial insurance. Illegal unlicensed vacation rentals can be shut down anytime, even during your vacation. They often don’t meet local code and can be unsafe for you and your family. Always ask for the license number for any vacation rental you are considering using for your vacation.brAspen Acres was available for the first time to the general public in July of 2017. All the beds are comfortable. The city does require a lodging tax for rentals of less than 30 days. We provide complimentary coffee, tea, spices, paper products, shampoo, soap, firewood and other convenience items! We challenge you to compare prices and features. We believe once you visit, you will become a frequent returning guest.
