Everything has been completely restored, preserving the old wooden trim and hardwood floors, yet bringing in new life with all the modern amenities. This 2 story, 3 bedroom, 2 full bath, living room, kitchen, pantry, game room, and fenced in backyard, includes large, new high-end windows, 10 foot high ceilings, and many energy efficient features.brbrThe main floor includes an open kitchen and dining table which seats 6, along with a pantry and all things needed to cook a delicious meal. There is a large living room that provides a very comfortable setting with new leather sofas, cushioned chairs and a 65 smart TV with access to numerous streaming services; Hi-Speed Internet is also provided. brbrAll three bedrooms present a comfortable atmosphere and act as an oasis for relaxation. The main floor bedroom holds a queen bed and the two upstairs bedrooms hold a queen bed in one room and two twin beds in the other bedroom. There is a balcony w/ seating off the upstairs queen bedroom.brbrThe game room is off the kitchen; a welcome setting for games, darts, poker table, a bar-top and additional room with plenty of storage. This room leads to the fenced in backyard where the patio furniture and gas grill are. Horseshoes in yard adjacent to this. A doggie door has been installed with a removable security panel if you wish to use it that leads to the fenced in yard. brbrThere are two bathrooms, one on each level of the house. The downstairs bathroom includes a spacious shower and the upstairs bathroom includes a large jetted tub. Stairs separate the two floors and, as this is an older house, they are steeper and narrower than newer houses. brbrThe house has central air conditioning and central heat, and runs on a tank-less hot water heater. Solar panels have been installed. All guests are provided linens and towels. The house sits on 1 acre, is located on a dead end road, and has the east side of the property backed up to the high school fields; therefore the house is located in a quiet neighborhood and has a very secluded feel. Our home has 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed & 1 king bed, 1 bathroom with a walk in shower, a den, a living room with 2 couches, a full kitchen, and an enclosed sun room and outdoor patio with a large fenced yard. Don’t be surprised if you have a deer or two come and visit! You will love sitting in the enclosed sunroom enjoying the lush yard or reclining back watching tv or gathering around the table to play games with the family. It’s a wonderful place to escape to, hang out and catch up on a little R&R. But, if you’re looking for a little more fun, You are just minutes from downtown and all our town’s amenities. Canon City hosts many restaurants, breweries, wineries , grocery stores, Walmart and a movie theater. Old downtown offers many unique, one of a kind shops. We have several city parks for families to enjoy, one has a splash pad for water fun! The Royal Gorge, which is America’s highest suspension bridge, is 15 minutes away. The Royal Gorge train is minutes from the house and ushers you up the floor of the canyon. You can take a helicopter tour, raft down the Arkansas river, rent a Segway, ride the zip line or go to the dinosaur museum which are all local attractions. Our golf course is 15 minutes away. For the Antique lover, Florence is 15 minutes away and is filled with Antique stores and specialty shops. Colorado Springs is an hour drive and opens up all the attractions a big city has to offer. It is the home of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the Airforce Academy, the Olympic training center, the Broadmoor Hotel and much more. You can drive up Pikes Peak which is over 14,000 feet in elevation and ride the Cog railway at the top. For you skiers who love the snow Monarch Ski Area is about 90 minutes away. Cripple Creek is a gambling town and is a beautiful 1 hour drive. After your fun filled day of adventure, return back to the house to relax or just recharge for your next activity. It's fantastic for walkability to the town's historic Main Street (1.5 blocks) and the delightful Arkansas River walk trail (5 minute walk). About the same to the popular Royal Gorge Train ride. brbrThe home feels like a loft with 13' ceilings and an open floor plan. There's bead board on the walls and ceiling. Main living are has huge wall mounted flat screen TV and leather couch. There's a vintage hifi stereo system with turn table and smart phone cable jack. Mid-century modern decor including tulip dining table and Eames type chairs. We also have a desk area. brbrThe kitchen has been updated and expanded with lots of counter space for cooking or other projects. This rustic lodge is located on the iconic Colorado Jeep Tours property just West of Canon City on Hwy 50 in the heart of the Royal Gorge Region. Just a half a mile from the Royal Gorge bike and hike trail system that runs 22 miles mostly along the Arkansas River which happens to be the most rafted river in the United States. Historic downtown with local cuisine and shopping including the Historical Royal Gorge Route Railroad is all just minutes away. And the World famous Royal Gorge Bridge and Park turn off is just 6.5 miles down the road. You can’t beat the location as everything is within a 10 minute drive. brbrThe spacebrbrThe comfy lodge was remodeled, has new furniture, and is ready with all the amenities of home including a massive covered back patio great for cooking out and having dinner or just sitting back and reading a book. The private back patio has plenty of room to keep your recreational equipment secure and out of the elements, including a bike rack and towels to wipe down your bikes and kayaks.
