Hot tub, Woodstove, Views, BBQ, K Bed, EV charger

Estes Park, Colorado, United States

A perfect couples retreat! Hike into Rocky Mountain National Park from the front door, soak in a private hot tub, enjoy a wood stove, charge your car & stargaze beneath a skylight from a luxe king bed (21-ZONE3143). brbr`By far the best Airbnb we have stayed at` - AllisonbrbrA block from the park boundary (elk & deer abound) & 5 mins to town. brbr+ Eco-friendly AC & heatbr+ EV chargerbr+ Wood stovebr+ Beetle kill woodworkbr+ Big kitchen, laundrybr+ Mood lightsbr+ Walk in showerbrbrZen studio for 2, circa 2023brbr*** THREE IMPORTANT THINGS ***brbr1) The Wood Shed is connected to another of my listings, The Hill House. It sits atop the Hill House garage and has its own private parking, entrance, deck and hot tub. There are no shared walls or connecting doors, and the garage is locked off for owner storage, but you do have neighbors next door (legally a duplex). Please be respectful!brbr2) This is a 600 s/f open studio with a bathroom and a king bed. To make it feel spacious, I used extremely low furniture (chairs & bed). If you have bad knees, this will be a bad fit. The bathroom is quite small, but still has a walk in shower.brbr3) House Rules: Check in at 4pm or later; check out at 10am or earlier. No pets or smoking. Last, the cleaning fee is lower than about 2/3 of other units this size because guests start a load of dishes and towels on checkout. The savings is passed on to you. brbr******************************br brAfter hosting 40k guest nights across 50 properties over 7 years, I wanted to build something special and unforgettable for travelers to Rocky Mountain National Park. brbrI moved here for these mountains, and I sought to create a space that connected people to them. The Wood Shed is an homage to our local wild lands, and an effort to share my awe. brbrHere are some of the first reviews: brbr- `By far the best Airbnb we have stayed at.` - Allisonbr- `This was probably the best AirBnB I’ve ever stayed at.` Samanthabr- `One of the best AirBnbs I`ve stayed in. ` - Casiebr- `I can say without hesitation this was easily among the best AirBnBs we have stayed in.` - Cameronbr- `This place is FANTASTIC. We even tried changing our travel plans to stay another night.` - RebeccabrbrThe walls and ceiling were milled from locally sourced beetle kill lumber, with each single board telling a story of hundreds of years of rainfall, fire and lightning. I made the bench and coffee table from trees felled on my land. I scavenged whiskey bottles from a Colorado distillery and repurposed them into pendant lamps, and put a skylight above the bed so you can watch stars as you fall asleep. brbrWhen you shower, I hope you feel like you`re actually swimming. The brilliant blue tile is the same color as the glacial runoff found in Lake Haiyaha in the National Park`s Chaos Canyon.brbrTo honor our local mountains, I tried hard to maintain a low environmental footprint. The HVAC system is an ultra-efficient heat pump that provides heat and AC. There`s a level II charger for your EV, all the lighting is LED, the wood stove releases virtually no smoke, and even the toilet is one of the most efficient made. Solar will come soon! brbrThere`s a 50` TV and a Bluetooth sound bar, but I hope you spend your time here connecting with whoever you came with. Cook an epic meal in the fully stocked kitchen and enjoy the record collection.brbrSome of my favorite LPs await: Nirvana`s Unplugged, Leo Kottke`s 6 & 12 String Guitar; Bob Marley`s Legend, Miles Davis` Kind of Blue, Harvest Moon by Neil Young, and (can I kick it ) Midnight Marauders by A Tribe Called Quest. brbrIt`s way fun to listen to a these gems while the wood stove roars, preferably after a soak in the private hot tub on the deck.brbr******************************brbrKEY AMENITIES (check the amenity list to see them all)brbr+ Washer & dryer in unitbr+ Propane grillbr+ A/Cbr+ 2 person private hot tubbr+ Private deck w/ porch swingbr+ Fully stocked kitchenbr+ French press & drip coffee makerbr+ Blender, toaster, numerous small appliancesbr+ Wood stove (bring your own wood, available at the nearby Country Supermarket)brbrDRIVING DISTANCESbrbr1 minute: Rock Inn Mountain Tavern (best restaurant)br2 minutes: Bird and Jim (other best restaurant), Groceriesbr3 minutes: National Park Visitor Centerbr5 minutes: Downtown Estes Parkbr6 minutes: Beaver Meadows Entry Station, YMCA of the Rockiesbr10 minutes: Anywhere in the Estes Valleybr45 minutes: Boulder, Eldora Ski Resortbr60 minutes: Fort Collins (breweries galore; rafting the Poudre)br90 Minutes: DIA, Red Rocks AmphitheaterbrbrGuests have access to brbrParking spotbrPrivate deck & hot tubbr600 s/f studio brAttached & private bathroom w/ showerbrbrThe garage is used for owner storage. The yard is for guests at the other side of the unit.brbrEither myself or my management team at The Wolf Rentals will be here to help you!brbrThe Wood Shed is along Highway 66 only a few short minutes from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. It`s a quiet area that sees little traffic, and the park boundary is within a quarter of a mile. This means elk, coyotes, foxes, bears, raccoons, hummingbirds, and mule deer frequently pass by.brbrThe National Park is just out the backdoor and the entrance station is reachable without having to brave downtown traffic. You can even hike into the park on foot. If you want to go downtown and don`t want to deal with parking, the town offers a free shuttle service during the summer months with a stop about 10 minutes away by foot! That`s a super easy way for the entire family to head out to dinner or enjoy local farmers markets and festivals.brbrNO SMOKING, NO FIRESbrbrMy home was about a quarter mile away from one of the largest forest fires in Colorado history a few years ago, so we are a strict no-smoking property. No smoking inside, outside, and no outdoor fire pits (now illegal in Estes Park`s vacation homes). Charcoal BBQs are banned.brbrROAD CONDITIONSbrbrEstes has a great plow team and our driveway will also be plowed during storms, but if there`s a huge blizzard, they may not be plowed exactly when you need them to be. We cannot assist if you get stuck and we always recommend that people rent AWD or 4WD when visiting us from October to May. We are at 8,000 feet and this can be a snowy area!brbrGUEST COUNTbrbrOur permit is limited to two people max. brbrBEARS brbrDo NOT leave food in your car! Bears frequent this area often and can break in!brbr* After booking, guests may be asked to review and accept a standard rental agreement covering house rules, safety disclosures, liability, and damage responsibility. This agreement does not modify pricing, cancellation terms, or refund policies presented on Vrbo and is intended to be consistent with Vrbo’s terms and the listing details.br- You are renting half a duplex; be mindful of noisebr- No loud noises or speakers in the hot tubbr- Outdoor wood burning fire pits are illegalbr- No pets, no smokingbr- 1 car maxbr- 4pm or later check in, 10am or earlier check outbr- Start towels in washer at checkout & wash dishesbr- Bring your own wood for the wood stove (available nearby at the Country Supermarket)

Chipmunk Tiny Home at The Woolly Bugger Inn

Estes Park, Colorado, United States

Welcome to The Woolly Bugger Inn! Our cabins, tiny homes, and suites are tucked into the woodsy Big Thompson Canyon just minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park.brbrABOUT THE CHIPMUNK TINY HOME (#9): brChipmunk is a cozy tiny home with a lofted queen bed, full kitchen (with a compact, bar-style dining area), couch, full bath (shower only), and a deck space with a propane fire pit, gas grill, and chairs. Please note that the lofted sleeping quarters are accessed by a staircase and require some nimble maneuvering to get into bed. We think it’s extremely cozy, but please only book if you're on board with some ducking (see photos)!brbrAbout The Woolly Bugger Inn:brWe’re nestled along a quarter-mile private stretch of the (highly fishable!) Big Thompson River, with plenty of space to spread out and relax on our forested, five-acre grounds. The vibe here is cozy, laid-back, and old-school, with a mix of historic rental quarters and newer, more modern dwellings to choose from. We’re five minutes from downtown Estes Park and ten minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park.brbr–brbr**BEFORE YOU BOOK!** brRead on to ensure our quirky property is the right fit for your getaway:brbrPets: We love hosting dogs, so let us know if you plan to bring your furry friend(s) along and we'll send you our pet agreement and fee. Our pet fee is $20 per dog per night (free after the third night).brbrWiFi & Cell: WiFi is limited throughout our canyon. We offer the best we can, but don’t expect to Zoom into meetings (or much of anything, internet-wise). Cell service is limited on the property at this time, so try to pull up your cabin and check-in instructions before you arrive. Please also note that weather can impact satellite TV strength in the area, as WiFi coverage has to be beamed through satellite dishes.brbrSafety:brFor the safety of our guests, we maintain outdoor security cameras to monitor wildlife visits, fire risks, hazardous elements, and other safety protocols (public spaces only). Please note our property is wild and rugged, with cliff features, boulders, slopes, uneven surfaces, river access, and regular wildlife visits (bear, elk, wild cats, and more). Use caution around any natural terrain, understand and follow wildlife safety practices, and abide by our pet, fire, hot tub (if your unit includes one), and on-site rules as posted in your cabin guide. Hot tubs [if applicable] are for use at your own risk and not protected by a gate; the hosts are not responsible for injuries resulting from the use of the hot tub. Guests shall hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Owner against any and all claims of personal injury or property damage or loss arising from the use of the property, inclusive of but not limited to the house, hot tub, fire pits, etc., regardless of the nature of the accident, injury, or loss.brbrSeasonal Information:brWinters & Shoulder Season: Winter in Estes is magical, and we’re happy to make recommendations on activities! While US-34 east of the Park remains open and plowed, if you’re planning to visit during the winter/shoulder season, consider snow tires and any other supplies you may want for winter conditions. Trail Ridge Rd and other routes over the continental divide close seasonally every year, so access to Grand Lake and the western part of RMNP requires rerouting through I-70 to the south (which adds about 3-4 hours to the trip). During winter, watch out for snow shedding from roofs and icy/snowy walkways along our rugged grounds. We’ll send more winter info about a month before arrival.brbrSummer/Early Fall: This is the high season! Note that certain cabins and suites can get toasty during the daytime, but night typically cools off significantly. Fire season typically falls between summer and early fall in the area, so air quality may be unhealthy during this time, particularly among sensitive groups. brbrCheck out the Rocky Mountain National Park website ahead of time for more information on Timed Entry Permits during peak season (typically May-October).brbrLet us know if you have questions!brWe hope you enjoy this neck of the woods as much as we do. Holler if you want to chat. Welcome to The Woolly Bugger Inn!brTo make sure everyone has a safe and peaceful stay, please read through the following:brbrPets: Our pet fee is $20 per dog per night (for up to the first 3 nights, then after your third night, dogs stay free!). We can accommodate a maximum of two dogs (and dogs only at this time), but get in touch with us if you have a special circumstance. Let us know if you plan to bring your furry friend(s) along, and we’ll send our pet agreement/fee.brbrGarbage and Food Storage: Estes Park is active bear habitat! Please secure the bear-proof dumpster latch and secure your trash and food items to prevent wildlife break-ins (which put both your life and the animal’s life in danger).brbrFire Safety: Your cabin is located in a region extremely susceptible to wildfires, so we take fire risk very seriously. No fireworks, absolutely no bonfires during fire bans (or otherwise posted), properly control and extinguish bonfires (drown using a bucket of river water, then use the stir-mix-feel method), turn off grills after use, and do not leave grills or fires unattended.brbrQuiet hours begin at 10 pm and end the following morning at 8 am.brbrExtra Guests: We don’t permit extra guests beyond what’s listed in your cabin’s capacity max. Any day use guests must be pre-approved.brbrEvents: At this time, we don’t allow guest events (such as weddings, parties, and so forth) at the property. We’re happy, however, to book your larger-sized group in multiple coinciding rooms at the hotel as long as you maintain respect and capacity numbers in each unit, keep noise levels to a minimum, and respectfully share communal spaces with guests outside your party. brbrSmoking: All of our units are non-smoking, but if guests need to smoke, we ask that they abide by a few rules. Visit The Woolly Bugger Inn FAQs & Policies for the full policy.brbrEarly Check-In and Late Check-Out: At this time we’re unable to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs, but get in touch if you have a unique situation. brbrCancellation: Please contact us if you have any questions on cancellation policies and refunds.brbrLeave No Trace: Respecting public lands and waters, Native and local communities, and our property is important to us. Please leave what you find and dispose of waste properly.
