The house has high vaulted ceilings, which makes for open and inviting spaces to enjoy time with friends and family. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a bathroom with a tub and a shower and is on the main floor, with the kitchen, dining room and living area. The upstairs has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a shared bathroom which has a tub and shower. In the lower level are two bedrooms with bunkbeds, full size in one room and twin in the other. There is also a small room with a TV, books and games, perfect for kids! The lower level also has a bathroom with stand-up shower. The kitchen is well appointed, with a toaster, coffer maker, crock pot, utensils, pots and pans, dishwasher, ice maker, double oven, and microwave. Kitchen also has a cozy breakfast nook with a lovely view. Also on the main floor is a half bathroom and large dining room with a table large enough for 10-12 people. The main living area has lots of comfortable seating, and a 65' TV with plenty of streaming and a state of the art surround sound system. brbrOutside is a large deck with a seating area and a table. The views from the deck are breathtaking and you can hear the creek flowing from there. There is also a small bistro-style seating area in the back of the house where you can watch the deer meander by while you sip your morning coffee. Even the occasional bear sighting! There are two single-car garages that guests may use, as well as spots for three cars on the driveway. You are only a short distance from the trailhead of the best hikes in the area. This home is located on one of the most scenic streets in town!brbrGreen Mountain Falls is about 90 miles from the closest ski resort, Breckenridge. The drive to Breckenridge is gorgeous, so consider making this your base for winter sports, avoiding higher prices in the resort towns. brbrWe do allow up to 2 dogs, but ask that they not be allowed on furniture and that there be no trace left in the yard. No smoking in the house, please. This is a quiet neighborhood. We do not allow large parties and ask that a quiet time of 9:00 PM be observed. Included are fishing gear, kites, horseshoes, hammocks, cowboy corn hole, board games, and puzzles for the winter time. The owner,Tk lives at the back of the property. He will welcome you, then, in true form, become a ghost, as he is all over this area, involved with many clubs, and volunteer work. He’s always available by phone for any questions.brbrThe Space:brNearby sleepy mountain town Green Mountain Falls features charming restaurants (the Pantry is famous for breakfast and the Blue Moose is a favorite beer and pizza/wings stop for after the days adventures), a gazebo on a lake, playground, hiking to waterfalls, and seasonal art installations. You'll be a quick 10-15 or so minute drive Woodland Park or Colorado Springs for provisions, night life, and more, but you might not ever make it there!brbrThe interior is cozy as it started a a one room Cabin over 100 years ago; it has been added on to since. The open floor plan provides a comfortable space for dining and relaxing after a long day of adventuring. The back yard has a gas grill, outdoor fireplace and hot tub. brbrThe TV is capable of streaming Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Hulu, Youtube and more! Local channels are not connected.brbrGuest Access:brYou have access to the entire indoor guest space and yard. The friendly host lives on site in a separate part of the home. As you can see in the photographs of the front of the house there are a series of stairs to get to the entrance of the home.brbrThe Neighborhood:brThis cabin is located just off HWY 24 (Ute Pass), only a few minutes from the highway on a dirt road. You are in the mountains so you will see wildlife. You may experience interrupted cell reception, so please record directions and all other information you need for your stay in advance. Wifi is available at the cabin.brbrGetting Around:brGuests will want to bring or rent a car. Enjoy the laid back mountain town where people come to relax and unwind. Close to conveniences but far enough away to feel remote!brbrWe recommend that you do not rely completely on Uber or Lyft to get around. Most Uber or Lyft drivers remain in the Colorado Springs area, and do not venture to Green Mountain Falls. An all wheel drive (AWD) or 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended in the winter/snowy months!
