The dining room offers an elegant atmosphere to enjoy your meal at a table that seats eight.br When you are ready to relax gather around the gas fireplace and kick back in one of the cozy pieces of furniture the living room has to offer. This 1500 sq ft, 2 bedroom unit built in the late 1800's is located upstairs in what was once the Palace Hotel. It has been completely renovated with some of the old things still in tact. Look at the doors; they are the original ones from the 1890's with the room numbers still on them. Doc Holiday is rumored to have stayed here. If you are coming from the Front Range consider taking Amtrak as the train station is only 2 blocks from the Watersweeper Loft. No hassles with Glenwood Canyon.brbr Going up the stairs you will find yourself on a great, large deck with a stone top table ,firepit and BBQ grill. Go thru the door into the enclosed sun porch and sitting area. Enter the main door and you are in the old hotel hallway. On the left is western bedroom with a queen bed. On the right is the master bedroom with a king bed occupying what was once two hotel rooms. Next is the bath and laundry. There is a Soaking tub and vanity in one room and a shower and vanity in another room. In the front you will find a complete kitchen with everything you could need and the dining room-living room area to complete the wonderful Loft with a great blend of old and new. Relax in the lounge seating loft area overlooking the spacious living room, or take advantage of the office/study area, boasting breathtaking views of Red Mountain.brbrOn the lower level, there is a spacious lounge area with television and playroom, complete with a Nugget play couch for the younger guests. The bunk room features a twin over full bunk bed along with a second twin bed and a selection of books, toys, and games. Additionally, there is a full bathroom with a tub and shower for added convenience.brbrThis space accommodates a maximum of four cars in the garage and driveway. At least one bath towel per guest is also provided.br• Elm seed bugs may be found in this home due to the presence of a nearby Siberian elm plant. Elm seed bugs were first discovered in Colorado in 2017 and have since been declared a nuisance pest in several counties. They are especially bad in Garfield County from mid-June into September, specifically in homes with Siberian elms nearby, and are nearly impossible to eradicate, even with regular pest control services.br• For your own safety, there are two security cameras on the exterior of the home, one in the driveway and one on the walkway leading to the main entrance.br• We have a zero tolerance smoking policy, and guests will be charged accordingly (see House rules).br• We abide strictly by the “Cancellation policy” (including road closures and / or inclement weather) and “House rules” (including “Additional rules”) which can be found at the bottom of the listing. They are reiterated during the booking process (on the “Confirm and pay” page), at which time you are confirming that you agree to the terms.
