This 1950's log cabin vacation rental in Estes Park, Colorado(approval 20-NCD0371), offers 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a large covered front porch, outstanding views, a fully furnished kitchen, laundry room, free internet, 50+ inch smart TV with DVD player in the Living Room and tv’s in the Master Bedroom and both upstairs bedrooms. There are breathtaking views from every room in the house. Effort has been made to maintain the vintage charm while updating and furnishing the home. Many of theitems are unique, vintage, and one of a kind. Although it is very close to Estes Park and all the activities, shopping, and restaurants, it sits just off the main road and is surrounded by open space so you are away from the road and have a private feel. You can be in town or to the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance in about 7 minutes and there is fishing as well as a trolley stop .2 mi. up the road in front of Estes Park Campground at Mary' Lake that runs during the summer. The 2 car garage interior has been finished so it is now the ultimate picnic shelter right across from our outdoor picnic area. It is stocked with outdoor games and extra tables and chairs for those who would rather sit under a roof.

Outside there are numerous places to enjoy the view. Our favorite spot is from the covered front porch, which is furnished with rocking chairs during summer months. There is a custom picnic table in the front yard . To the north of the cabin is an open area with a fire pit, iron benches, and log seats where you can play games or sit, enjoy s’mores, view the stars and overlook the valley. We have badminton , corn hole, and a giant Jenga game for outdoors as well as many games, puzzles and books inside for all ages. There is a convenient ramp so you can enter the cabin without having to carry your belongings down stairs. When you exit there is a road through the field that connects back to the road. We see elk and deer, along with many other forms of wildlife, almost every time we visit, especially in the early morning and evening. They love to drink from the pond and munch on the Aspen and Willows that grow along the stream.

The living room features beautiful hand made aspen furniture, a comfy queen sofa sleeper, 50 inch TV, wood burning fireplace and several rocking chairs, including a recliner.
The dining room features a pine trestle table that was hand made by Mennonite craftsman and 6 sturdy pine chairs. There is also a pine bench for additional seating and a corner cabinet filled with games and puzzles.
There is a fully furnished kitchen with newer appliances and everything you would need to cook for your group, whether it be a casual dinner or a full Thanksgiving meal. We have a set of nicer stone wear as well as melamine dishes and cups. There are several coffee makers, crock pots, microwave safe options for cooking and heating, waffle maker, electric griddle, toaster, all new cookware and utensils as well as a few vintage items for your use during your stay.
The Master Bedroom, on the main floor, has a queen log bed, bench, TV stand with storage and ample closet space. One upstairs bedroom has an antique queen bed, a comfy leather chair poised to take advantage of the views, a dresser, nightstand, and closet. The other upstairs bedroom has 2 single bed options, log dresser, and a closet. The upper level also has a reading/nook with a desk where you can work while enjoying the view. There is wi-fi access to a myriad of viewing options using your online accounts such as Netflix, Amazon, and Roku, and a library of DVDs, books, puzzles, and games. We have installed a retractable gate at the top of the stairs so that if you have smaller children you can close and lock it when you are upstairs. We have also kept all cleaning supplies up and out of reach.

We are a licensed vacation rental . A recent survey suggests over 70% of the vacation rentals operating the Estes area are illegal. Legal licensed vacation rentals in the Estes area must meet local building codes, safety requirements, parking requirements, pay taxes and provide commercial insurance. Illegal unlicensed vacation rentals can be shut down anytime, even during your vacation. They often don’t meet local code and can be unsafe for you and your family. Always ask for the license number for any vacation rental you are considering using for your vacation.
Aspen Acres was available for the first time to the general public in July of 2017. All the beds are comfortable. The city does require a lodging tax for rentals of less than 30 days. We provide complimentary coffee, tea, spices, paper products, shampoo, soap, firewood and other convenience items! We challenge you to compare prices and features. We believe once you visit, you will become a frequent returning guest. We have complementary coolers, travel thermos, refillable water bottles, shopping bags, freezer bags, etc. for your use during your stay. We are continually improving and adding items we think visitors will appreciate and enjoy. So far, everyone who had stayed at our cabin had just loved it and left us wonderful notes and reviews. We strive to provide a 5 star experience.
If you are coming to celebrate a special occasion let me know and for a little extra I can have banners, cake, etc there and ready for you. There is a Country market and deli within one mile near the corner of Mary's Lake and Moraine Ave so it is easy to stock up on your way to the cabin.

Check in was easy, the doors were unlocked and everything was ready for us.We did a lot of cooking. The kitchen items were ok, it would have been nice to have a little bit better cookware and utensils. We used the laundry room, it would have been nice to have a basket to put clothes in. We didn’t think to bring that. We loved the front porch! The chairs were comfortable and we enjoyed sitting outside each morning and evening, watching for deer to make their way through. I wish we could have opened some of the downstairs windows to get a breeze through the house, sometimes cooking really heated up the kitchen area. Something we didn’t realize in advance was that there were other houses very close by. Our crew gets kind of loud sometimes so that’s something to note if you’re bringing your kids! We were visited by the owner one morning and he was very friendly and helpful.

The cabin was very well equipped/stocked with anything that you would normally have in your home. The owners were very accommodating and available at all times. There is abundant wildlife (i.e. deer, birds, rabbits, etc.) to watch at dawn and dusk and the view of the mountains was beautiful. We will definitely rebook on a future return trip!

My family and I stayed here for the Rocky Mountain National Park part of our Denver family vacation. The hosts were responsive and lovely, the entire place was fully stocked and great for a family trip. The outdoor games were a favorite of my kids (especially the foosball). One of the best experiences we have had.

Mary's cabin was very comfortable for our group of 4. The kitchen was well equipped and contained everything necessary to prepare meals, including basic supplies such as cooking oil and spices. The front porch, while facing a road which was heavily travelled at times, was a great place to relax at the end of a day in the park. There was a well-stocked market and gas station nearby and the primary eastern entrance to RMNP was just a few minutes drive. The downtown area was also only several minutes away. One possible concern for anyone with mobility issue is that you must manage several stairs in order to access the property from the driveway. The other being that there is no AC, and while the windows provide great airflow, hot weather may make the cabin uncomfortably warm, especially in the upstairs bedrooms. Overall, though, a great place.

Cozy home. Gorgeous views. Comfy beds. There was enough room for all 6 of us! Fully stocked kitchen. Nice location. Minutes away from RMNP entrance. Also a nice grocery store that we love to shop at! We saw elk and deer in the yard! Would definitely recommend!
