Just a short drive to Bayfield, Vallecito Lake and Durango.brbrThe kitchenette has 2 electric stovetop burners, a mini fridge, toaster oven, microwave, crockpot and coffee maker.brbrAccess to the Pine River is by means of a short walk down a gently sloping hillside through pasture and woods. The King Ditch, a large man-made canal, used for downstream agricultural irrigation, is traversed by a bridge over the waterway. After crossing the bridge. guests are then very near the river’s edge where there is a long stretch of wooded meadow and mixed shoreline of grass and river rock.brbrThis is a fantastic section of river, where the sound of mountain waters may be a rapid roar, or a gentle cascade, depending on the seasonal water flow level. Catch and release fishing is excellent in several spots along the river. This is a perfect spot to hone one’s fly-fishing skills.
