Enjoy your morning coffee or tea while observing deer walking about the property. Take a short stroll along the old road to the red rock formations on the North end of the land. This is a perfect photo moment.brWalk to the big bald rock to see the old mine. Climb some hills (please avoid boulders) to enjoy a magnificent view and cell phone reception on the top of the hill. But don't worry—the house has WiFi cell phone reception. brFish in the private creek; no license is required. You may catch a rainbow or brown trout. If you don't get fish here, try Platte River or Manitou Lake, less than 10 miles away. You will need a license. If fishing is not your thing, try whitewater rafting on the Platte River. The river is shallow and slow in most places. You will see a lot of local people enjoying this activity. brOr you may want to pan for gold and come home rich! The creek is in the old settlement where prospectors panned for gold during the Colorado Gold Rush. brIf you don't get gold, collect some berries and herbs. Make herbal tea with fresh yarrow, wild raspberry leaves or berries, and young pine needles.
