The UV treated windows and home were designed by an award winning architect where the floor to ceiling cathedral windows/sliding doors capture all the orange, pink, and many other colors of the sunrise/sunsets that the main living first floor is simply indescribable. We have a long deck that spans the entire first floor. brbrYou walk into the home and up a couple steps and all you see are the different and unique mountain ranges that almost completely make it look as if you could walk right out and step out onto the deck…and just take it all in. brbrTo the left on the main living floor is the half bath and the kitchen (which has been recently remodeled with: Calcutta Ultra white Quartz with Grey veins throughout….along with brand new sink, disposal, hardware, etc. Looks great. Their is a great table in between the kitchen and living area (which has been updated with an additional antique Arabic rug) a brand new beige power recliner, and an electric power recliner. brbrAs you move along to the master bedroom and bath….we have an adjustable Tempurpedic bed that is fabulous for watching your shows at a comfortable angle. To the bathroom is an oversized jacuzzi bath/separate oversized shower, separate bathroom/w a pocket door. The sink vanity area was also recently updated to match the kitchen countertops with large white vessel sinks. A grill for barbecuing and seating all around allow for outdoor entertaining and fun on a beautiful summer evening. 1100 sqft of patio is perfect for lawn games such as giant jenga, beanbag toss (cornhole), and more! There's even a tire swing and a hammock for relaxation! While you can't see them from inside the home, in the hot tub, or on the deck/patio, full-time neighbors live across the road and just down the way. So while it's secluded, you don't have to worry about being isolated. Cripple Creek is not far for casino gambling and you're about 90 minutes away from Breckenridge for skiing. 11 mile reservoir is only about 30 minutes away for fishing and boating. She's doing wipe downs of surfaces (e.g. tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, light switches, remotes, handles, desks, toilets, sinks) with disinfectant, deep cleaning the sheets, towels, and doing everything within reason we can do to ensure our guests are safe. Please consider getting trip protection insurance to protect yourself in case of a need to cancel. There are trip insurances out there that will cover you for any reason, including COVID-19 related reasons.br brNote that there are exterior cameras around the property to watch out for animal life and for security. Our home is great for families featuring 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with access to Four Mile Creek (trout stream) and five acres to roam, hike and climb. If the weather takes you inside, we have an 1100 sf great room with a pool table, dartboard, foosball table, shuffle board, dry bar, a 75 in TV and huge windows overlooking panoramic mountain views. Two additional living areas offer cozy places to sit and read or enjoy some much needed quiet time.brbrThe house features a well-equipped gourmet kitchen, including a Keurig with coffee pods and a coffee pot, two dining areas with seating for 4 and seating for 8. Relax in a beautiful, comfortable living room with mountain views and a wood burning fireplace. A cozy family room for nights in front of the TV is also an option. And of course, there's the GREAT room with lots of games to enjoy with your family.brbrThe upstairs master bedroom has a king bed, an ensuite, walk-in closet and balcony overlooking the mountains and trout stream. While our home is cleaned thoroughly between each guest, you may still find an occasional spider or bug during your stay.brbr• The nearest convenient store is Evergreen Station, a 15-minute drive from the property. It is well stocked for essentials but you may want to get your grocery items in larger cities such as Woodland Park, Divide or Canon City.brbr• There are steps leading into the house, inside the house and down to the trout stream. Please use caution traversing down to the trout stream as the steps are uneven with loose gravel. It can become slippery when wet. We advise to take it slow and use the rope to assist with your balance if required. Small children need to be supervised going up and down the steps.brbr• There is no AC but temperatures rarely get warm enough in the mountains to need one. There are ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms and the great room.brbr• For your security there is one camera on the exterior of the home facing the front entrance. Rock Rest Eco-Cabin was built by the owners in 2018. It is thoughtfully designed with modern lines and rustic textures. Lots of special features. The bedroom has a queen bed and a suspended bunk bed. The back balcony overlooks the valley with farmland beneath the Pikes Peak mountain range. The bathroom is a perfectly clean and efficient space. The shower has a unique stainless steel surround with a polished river rock mosaic floor. With our new water well and tankless water heater you can always have a long hot shower. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make a nice meal. The appliances are stainless steel and the counters are custom made with inlaid polished stone and fossils. The living room has a custom built twin XL daybed. A Smart TV with Netflix, Bluetooth sound bar, HD DVD player, industrial and rustic furniture. The HUGE Sliding glass door addresses the large deck with a twin XL swing and the beautiful forest and meadow where the deer frequently graze. brWe are located less than a mile from the Wolf and Wildlife sanctuary. You can often hear them howling at the moon. Sometimes they will respond if you howl at them.
