It is a nice small town with all amenities walking distance from Pat’s place. Basalt resulted also very convenient if you plan to ski in Aspen Snowmass: 15-20 min drive to Snowmass mountain in a wonderful scenery. Now, Pat’s place is accurately represented in the pictures: a cozy two bedroom house with additional sofa beds for the kids, an amazing kitchen space where all the action happens, two full bathrooms and a nice backyard you can enjoy. The place is super well equipped (kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms), everything in perfect conditions and with good taste. This although might sound as a basic expectation is not necessarily so, I have stayed in several AirBNB places and the attention to details as in Pat’s place is confidently above average. We had the opportunity to personally meet Pat, we can ascertain she is great and responsive host. Finally, we felt pleased every time we got in the house after a long day of ski. This for us is the best thermometer to measure whether you are truly comfortable or not. Down comforters, linen, fine cotton duvets and super down pillows are provided to settle in at night. Top of the line large screen TVs are in both the living room and master bedroom. Twelve-foot ceilings and banks of windows add to the modern vibe of the space. The second bedroom is an intimate space that can sleep 4 in two full-over-full beds. There is also an additional single bed pallet that can be used in this room. The rug was handmade in Buenos Aires and is of soft chevron cowhide. Everything is pristine as it was all acquired with our recent remodel. brbr The spring, summer and fall activities seem to happen more down-valley in terms of horseback riding, golf, fishing and hiking, and you are right in the center of it all! The main bus station is 1 blocks from our unit that you can take anywhere with buses leaving every 20 minutes. If you rent a car you do not have to worry about snow as you have a designated underground parking spot. On days we ski Aspen mountain, we typically valet at The Little Nell, and have a Apres ski cocktail and have our ticket validated, which makes it quite reasonable to park at the very base of the mountain. It is a terrific place to people watch and relax before heading back to our little sanctuary. brbr You are steps from the bus stop, the best wine store in the valley, as well as two of the top-rated restaurants on the first floor! Jump on the bikes and head to the river or stroll to the 8 screen movie theater or the darling bowling alley that serves rack of lamb! We have done what we feel makes a space both exciting and comfortable to enjoy the best of the best in Colorado. You will be thrilled with the money you will save having the anchors such as Whole Foods so close as opposed to the heart of the tourist areas. As foodies, we love to try every new restaurant and found the choices much more interesting in the Basalt area at basically half the price and it is incredible to have the option of either! No towels or linens shall be taken from the Property. A cleaning fee is automatically added and charged for each confirmed reservation. Guest is expected to leave the Property in a neat and orderly condition. An additional cleaning fee may apply if excessive cleaning or trash removal is required upon Guest`s departure.brU. A mandatory damage protection policy fee for third-party accidental rental damage insurance will be automatically charged to each booking. Should the assessed damages and or the amount of missing items, exceed the maximum limits of the insurance policy, Guest shall be held responsible to pay for the deficiency.
