Sweet + Simple Mountaintop

Thank you so much for hosting us at your beautiful mountain cabin over the holidays! Everything was absolutely perfect, and the stunning views provided the most incredible backdrop for our stay. We truly appreciated the thoughtful touches and the cozy atmosphere you've created—it made our holiday celebration feel so special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and hope to return again soon!

Enjoyed our stat. Quiet neighborhood, mountain trails/hikes right out the door, resorts 25-30 minute drive. Basalt has some great restaurants and shops.

Kristen was an amazing host. She was super accommodating when one membervof our group needed to check in early. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed! We loved to location and the proximity to Aspen, Maroon Bells, and Glenwood Springs. We really enjoyed our time here!

The home was clean, well furnished, and had an awesome fenced-in area that our dog loved. Finding a dog-friendly home that also rates high for humans is not always easy. I’ve stayed in a lot of vacation rentals and the mattresses in this home were above and beyond the most comfortable. I’d happily stay again.

Very clean, well-maintained house with a nice fenced yard that's convenient to Downtown Basalt. And a very good value for the Roaring Fork Valley!

The place was clean, quiet and cozy. Very Well equipped. And the host was probably the nicest I've had.

We come to Basalt to fly fish every year and have been fortunate to stay in Sweet + Simple a couple of times now, and we'll be back. Easy access to the great Frying Pan River, Taylors Fly Shop and Frying Pan Anglers, Twin Rivers for breakfast and all of the other restaurants in Basalt. House sits on top of the mountainous hill overlooking the valley, great views of Mt. Sopris. Super clean and well-equipped down to a new toothbrush if you forgot yours. And turkeys and mule deer in the yard almost every day. Enjoy your stay!

Great location away from the hustle and bustle. Home contains everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation.

We came up for a week stay with our two young kids and two golden retrievers. The host was very nice and had very good communication with us the whole time. We really appreciated the location, it was very quiet, safe and has beautiful views of the town below. Nice sized fenced in backyard, perfect for our dogs and kids. The house had everything we needed and plenty of space. There is no AC, but they did have portable fans and swamp cooling fans that we could use. It gets cool at night, so we just opened up the windows to cool the house down. About a 5 minute drive down the hill to the town below. The town of Basalt is super cute, plenty of areas to explore and hike, restaurants to enjoy and very kid and dog friendly spots scattered around the town. Very close to the river and about 10 mins from a BMX park, shopping and several other outdoor activities. The house is 30 mins to Aspen and 30 mins to Glenwood springs, perfect location to take day trips to either. We would definitely come back and stay again, we really enjoyed it
