We are just 5 minutes (2 miles) from Downtown Rangeley, 15 minutes from Saddleback Mountain, and 40 minutes to Sugarloaf Mountain. brbrIn the summer, our home is a great location to soak in all that the Rangeley Lakes Region has to offer. Hiking, mountain biking, boating, and more! Please note that while we have beautiful lake views, we do not have direct lake access. A Rangeley Lake State Park pass is included with your stay to enjoy the nearby State Park for swimming and boating. We also recommend the public beach in town. Our road and driveway are privately plowed, but to avoid any potential issues we do recommend all-wheel drive vehicles in the winter. Please note that all patio furniture, fire pit & the grill are stored away for the winter months (November-Mid May).brbrPulling into the driveway, you will be welcomed with gorgeous views of Rangeley Lake amongst the beautiful pine trees. Enjoy lake views from our living room, master bedroom, and even the kitchen. The home has two decks, one accessible from the living room and main entrance and a private deck off the master bedroom, allowing for water views the minute you wake up in the morning. Make sure to shut it off completely prior to leaving the house.brbrFireplace Instructions (Please do not start a fire in the wood fireplace on the morning of departure)brStep 1: Open doors & metal curtainbrStep 2: Open Flue – Reach in & up, grab lever to push up & outward to open (towards the lake) until it sets into the open positionbrStep 3: Light the fire & enjoy. Metal curtain should be closed & doors should remain open/partially open when fire is in use.brStep 4: When fire is extinguished, close the flue (likely the next day if the fire was lit in the PM the night before). Reach up to grab metal lever, push up to let the flue come back down into the closed (original) position. Use glove provided.brStep 5: Remove coals when fully cooled. All fires must be supervised & put out completely when done with use. Once ashes are cooled renters should use ash buckets to discard ashesbrbr***The Homeowner's Association asks homeowners to notify renters to obey the Speed limit signs posted (10-20 mph in varying places) to help maintain the quality of the roads as well as for the safety of people/dogs who may be walking.br*** No parties, smoking, hunting, or pets. Please be mindful of neighbors & keep noise to an appropriate level so they can enjoy their quiet space.br***Four-wheel drive vehicles will be necessary for accessing the house in the winter. If you are familiar with those in your party please consider leaving the bathroom doors cracked to prevent major steaming in the bathroom when showering to save the wood walls. The remotes are in the green reindeer dish located on the cabinet under the TV in the living room. Point the remote, that is labeled “below moose”, below the moose (slightly to the right) to illuminate. Colors can be changed to your preference.
