Hear the waves lap along the granite shore, feel the ocean breeze, see the Sally Islands off in the distance, as well as the bold open ocean. At night you can see the flashing light of Petit Manan Lighthouse, Maine's second tallest light, built before the Civil War on a rock ledge two miles out to to sea. brbrThe ocean view faces east across the water so the sunrises and moon rises are spectacular. See shore birds, marine life, and hear the loons call. Lobster boats work the area so you can watch them work from the front deck or along the shore. brbrThe property is nicely wooded and you will have a private setting. We are located in a remote setting where you can rest, relax and rejuvenate. A great place to escape from reality watch the lobster boats hauling their traps, take a walk on the beach searching for shells and sea glass, or get to read that book you have been wanting to read. The evening sky at our location is great for star gazing or build a fire on the rocks and toast some marshmallows. A true Coastal Maine experience!! A great getaway located on the quiet side of Acadia National Park, with close access to the Schoodic section of Acadia. Our area offers great walking, hiking & biking trails and just pure relaxation. You are within walking distance to the harbor to get a local lunch at our Bell Buoy Seafood & Takeout, or walk to the beautiful private beach in search of seaglass or explore the tide pools. On a low tide you can even cross the sandbar and explore one if not two of the islands. We are a one hour drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park and a 15 minute drive to the Schoodic section of Acadia, there is also a seasonal ferry service from neighboring Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor. The house has 2 bedrooms, pull out sofa bed, and 2 full baths. Renters with a 3 night stay will get a 2 hour lobster boat tour for 2 people w/a lobster meal on the dock. “Catch Your Dinner”-Lobster Boat Tour, a great coastal Maine experience located right in Corea harbor. The tours run seasonally from Memorial Day to the first weekend in October. This location will give you the true feeling of Coastal Maine, it has a beautiful backyard with lighted patio and firepit, extensive gardens that are great for viewing flowers and passing wildlife. There are two window-filled sunrooms that allow you to feel almost as though you are outside. There is also a big open plan kitchen with a large island for gathering together over cooking dinner. This property is a true gem. For all renters staying with us for a week, we will include a lobster boat tour for up to 4 guests.

We are located in Gouldsboro Maine. A small coastal town located in Downeast Maine. We are located on a quiet side road off of US route 1. You can fall asleep listening to the frogs. Awake to the birds singing. The moon rises in front of the house and the stars are amazing. For the outdoor enthusiast there are lots of local biking and hiking trails as well as salt and freshwater beaches to explore. We are about 15 miles from Winter Harbor where you can find the Schoodic Point section of Acadia National Park, small shops and eateries and a ferry that will take you to Bar Harbor where you can explore other local shops and the rest of Acadia National Park. If riding on a boat is not for you it is about a 1 hour car ride to Bar Harbor. It was occupied only in the summer months by supply ministers for the Maine Seacoast Mission Society. My family summered there every year since 1951, and eventually bought the 1/4 acre when the property was liquidated by the mission in 1974. After the passing of my father, my mom moved up here from NY & Conn. to make Tugwassa her permanent home, with much insulation and hard work! She wrote her poetry and did her painting at her beloved cottage by the pond, communing with the nature surrounding it. She lived there alone with her cat until several months before she died at 87 in 2010. I have endeavored to retain the homey atmosphere and spirit of the cabin for guests to experience.brbrGuest accessbrThe cabin has a kitchen area, a dining area, a living room area, 2 bedrooms ( 1 queen bed, 2 twins), a full shared bathroom.
