This historic home, built by Samuel Montgomery, an early resident and the owner of a saw & gristmill, boasts frontage on Mill Pond plus a 4-acre fresh-water pond. The seven-bay carriage house, built in 2002, derives from regional design and renovated into a stunning residence rental in 2020. We are a three minute car ride from Ocean Point one of the most beautiful areas around for walking, painting and photo taking. 5 minutes drive into the town of Boothbay Harbor full of shops and wonderful restaurants. We are about an hour from Portland, 25 minutes from Wiscasset, 30 minutes to Damerscotta, 45 minutes give or take a few to Camden and about 3 hours from Boston. There are just a few hot days in summer.brbrEach of the three bedrooms (located upstairs) have comfortable beds with a queen size bed in the primary, a queen size bed in the second room, and two twin beds in the third room. The primary bedroom has a four poster bed and an en suite bathroom. The upstairs has another full bathroom. All bathrooms are stocked with amenities such as soap, shampoo/conditioner, and body wash.brbrThere is a sofa bed with a Bob-O-Pedi mattress in the downstairs sunroom with a barn door for added privacy. brbrThere is a large eat-in kitchen with all the amenities you could need, including quality pots and equipment for a classic New England lobster boil. We provide a Keurig and a Cuisinart gold filter coffee maker and a coffee grinder. We have a new electric five-burner stove. You can enjoy your meals on the private and large deck facing the back yard which incudes a gas bbq. All bbq equipment is provided, including a spare tank of gas.
