Waldoboro, Maine, United States

A lovingly built cabin made for a getaway place for our extended family who are now too busy to keep it in use so we offer it to your family and friends! A separate room with a full sized bed, and a sleeping loft with a twin and a double mattress on the floor - this site does not allow us to describe the loft properly! The main room also has a futon full couch if needed. The cabin is located adjacent to logging roads and our fruit farm which is slowly building up to full production with a kiwi orchard , ramps, and a producing strawberries in a hoophouse for early ripening fruit. We move our horse and pony around to different fields during the warmer months (and ask that you respect all fencing!), and keep pekin ducks (the white ones hence our farm name White Duck Farm). The farm is 75+/- acres and located on a quiet rural road - star gazing anyone We have a canoe available to rent and use at our nearby creek and two ponds. Food markets and some very good places to eat are within 6-7 miles. Our town has a large number of conservation areas for hikes and exploring. Former Sea Captains' 1850s Greek Revival home minutes to town and boat launch

Waldoboro, Maine, United States

A Beautiful Greek Revival home with wide wrap around porches poised for lovey afternoon and evening sun. Set on 3 acres of hillside, and a 5 minute walk into the small village of Waldoboro and its town dock (bring your kayak/canoe, etc), this is close to many beautiful parks, waterways, and other more famous areas of mid midcoast Maine (but they are more crowded!), such as Damariscotta, Rockland, Camden, Belfast, Acadia. The village of Waldoboro has a great local family friendly pub, the Narrows, and there is a local brewery as well less than a mile away in a beautiful barn setting. The house is close to many conveniences and pretty privately set among trees, and note also close to the road where local traffic heads to and from the tip of our peninsula, to Friendship (mostly lobster and lumber toting vehicles).brbrRooms are lovingly furnished with owners' finds from antique and flea markets. This is not a fully renovated old house, so it has it's old charm and quirks, and is a bit rough around the edges, but we think it's beautiful and cozy - see the pictures! There is NO AC or TV, but there is good Wifi. This house is Erica’s primary home, and in wanting to share it's beauty, she hands it over to visitors in the Summer, while she and her cat and dog move into the barn loft above her metal studio, where she focuses on her full time metal craft business. Contact is advised prior to booking to assure latest updates in availability!brbrIn the attached post and beam barn is a well appointed metal and wood shop, available upon request for guided use and/or furniture to sculpture, she can arrange to be a sort of Maker Space B&B! She also offers a 10% discount off our handmade wares to guests and their friends & family, purchased at the house or at her website.

Guest House

Water Front post and beam guest house Thyme & Tide, on Muscongus Bay.

Waldoboro, Maine, United States

Located on four acres at the end of a private road and at the end of Dutch Neck peninsula, Thyme & Tide offers privacy and quiet without being remote. A deep-water dock and float provide water access for swimming, kayaking, or boating and the underwater light attracts fish and seals after dark. Seals, Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Cranes, Herons, and more are frequent visitors. brbrWe recently updated the upstairs living area, changing out some of the furniture and revising the layout. Take a look at the new pics to see what's changed. We also removed the TV from the upstairs (there's still one downstairs) and now only do streaming. We also offer oysters fresh from the bay along with the lobsters. brbrThyme & Tide is ideally suited for one or two couples or a small family with a King sized bed in the master, Queen in the ground floor Spa room, and two twins in the sleeping loft accessed by a ships ladder. This is a four season home with radiant heat on both floors and a Jotul gas fireplace in the second floor living room for added comfort. And on those few days in August when it gets really warm we've added a portable AC unit in the MBR, even though it only gets used 2-3 times a year.brbrThe ground floor has 10' ceilings and cedar paneling complimenting the Douglas Fir Post and Beam frame. The 14'X36' family room runs the length of the house and has windows facing the water, seating area, and glass top dining table. The ground floor bedroom (aka the spa room) has a queen-sized bed and en-suite bath including a walk-in glass tile shower, cathedral ceiling, ceiling fan, screened in porch, and lots of windows. See the photos for more details. There is also a bath with shower on the ground floor off the back entry hallway. brbrUpstairs are the living quarters with an open living/dining/kitchen area and 17' cathedral ceilings. The master bedroom and bath with shower are located at one end with the sleeping loft over. The bath has a Bosch washer and dryer in addition to the fully tiled oversized shower and large vanity. The upstairs also has a private (no ground access) wrap-around deck with a retractable sun awning on the east side to provide morning shade. 4 Adirondak chairs provide seating that can be arranged in any configuration that suits your needs. The lower deck also has a few Adirondack chairs, a hanging swing, picnic table, and Weber gas grille.brbrThe kitchen is well equipped with a Thermidor gas stove, under counter Sub-Zero refrigerators, Keurig/drip or K-cup combo coffee maker, microwave, and toaster oven. Fully stocked with linens, towels, silverware, dishes, glasses, PT, and utensils.brThere is a TV downstairs in the family room with Apple TV and dedicated Internet service. brbrOn the water we have a 60' pier with a 14'X24' float and a separate 8'X20' float for boat storage. We keep a pair of Adirondack chairs on the float for relaxing after a swim or just to sit and enjoy the views. We also have a few camp chairs in case more seating is needed. Lots of room for your kayak(s), paddle board, or small boat. There is a public boat ramp less than a mile away. The Solo stove firepit patio is located near the foot of the pier along the shoreline. Private with great views it's a must for s'mores making.brbrOur location is less than 15 minutes from Rte 1, 25 minutes from Damariscotta, 35 minutes from Pemaquid Pt. and 35 minutes from Rockland. We are very centrally located on the MidCoast, virtually in the middle between Wiscasset and Camden.brbrProperty Owners will be resident in the Main house during your stay, available to provide any help needed including ordering up lobsters and/or oysters if you want. We have the lobsters delivered directly to our float by local fishermen (unless Jim has been lucky with his five recreational traps and has some to spare).
