A sunny family-friendly cottage right on the beach of Kimball Lake Shores. Wake up to the sound of loons on the lake, spend your days swimming, kayaking, fishing, and hiking, then fire up the BBQ and spend some time together around the fire-pit. The cottage is perfect for 2 families and is stocked. We've got kayaks, a canoe, puzzles, legos, duplos, all kinds of games, toys and books and binoculars (Bald Eagles nest by the shore).brbrThe cottage is about 100 feet from the water and is situated on the north end of the pond which gives us the unique ability to view both sunrise and sunset from the house in the winter. brbrThe main living space consists of a full kitchen open to the primary living room with a wood-burning stove. This opens into an adjoining 4-season sun room with skylights and windows overlooking the lake, plus a banquette for family dinners.brbrThere are 3 bedrooms: 2 with queen beds, and a bunk-room with 3 double-size beds and a portable crib. A bathroom with a shower, washer+dryer is in the main living space, plus another 1/2-bath off the bunk-room.brbrOutside we have a private beach area with seating for up to 9 around the fire-pit. If you want to eat outside we've got a picnic table and a Weber BBQ that's missing a door but works like a charm. There are yard games, sand toys and even some sea glass and shells hidden in the sand for kids to find (please do leave them for our next guests though).

Welcome to this uniquely situated cottage at Ettowah Cove on Lower Kimball Pond in Fryeburg. The deck and the reading room of this cottage actually overhangs the fantastically clear lake water. This provides the sensation of being on a boat. You can fish right off the deck!brbrThe lake is about 1 and 1/4 mile long, and 3/4 mile wide and straddles the border of Maine and New Hampshire. At 486 acres, the maximum depth is 65 feet and is home to: brown trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, chain pickerel, white perch, yellow perch, white sucker, Hornpout (bullhead), and pumpkin-seed sunfish.brbrThere is a tennis / pickleball / basketball court that is shared by about 11 families, In the cottage you will find: tennis and pickleball racquets and balls, basketball, fishing rods, paddles, books, puzzles, board games and DVD's.brbrThis cottage was part of a summer camp at Ettowah Cove started in the 1930s.
