Solitude is only a few minutes by car to downtown Estes Park.brbrYou will need a car to really enjoy your time in Estes Park, though the town`s free summer shuttle does have a stop in the Solitude neighborhood. The grounds cover 9 acres and back up to wild forest to the east, so wildlife frequent the neihgborhood. Lake Estes has a great walking path around it and is about a 5-10 minute walk from the property. Solitude is only a few minutes by car to downtown Estes Park.brbrYou will need a car to really enjoy your time in Estes Park, though the town`s free summer shuttle does have a stop in the Solitude neighborhood. That shuttle runs from July to September and will take you to downtown, and from there you can take other shuttles around the Estes Valley.brbrNO SMOKING, NO FIRESbrbrThis home was a few miles away from one of the largest forest fires in Colorado history a few years ago. This is now a strict no-smoking property. No smoking inside, outside, and no outdoor fire pits (now illegal in Estes Park`s vacation homes). Charcoal BBQs are banned. Gas is OK.brbrROAD CONDITIONSbrbrEstes has a great plow team and our parking area will also be plowed during storms, but if there`s a huge blizzard, they may not be plowed exactly when you need them to be. We cannot assist if you get stuck and we always recommend that people rent AWD or 4WD when visiting us from October to May.
