This sweet little, newly renovated, cabin for 2 is a gem. It's located on our property on the beautiful St Mary's River with 3 other cabins sharing a common campfire with plenty of privacy. You'll have time to spend on your small private deck, or walk around the grounds enjoying the long dock and swings by the water with a private small beach access. We offer free canoes and bike usage, books and games, and lots of beautiful sunrises and nature all around. The kitchen in this cabin is small and has limited cooking abilities to include a gas grill and propane, a microwave air fryer convection bake unit, and a small college fridge. The exterior is being renovated as we speak. brAnd you even get to experience our cool ferry. Enjoy the quick little ride over for a fee....$20 for the car only. There is also another small area on the second floor with a twin size rollaway cot for your use.brbrOur home is located directly on snowmobile trail UP8 which has access to the entire Eastern Upper Peninsula snowmobile trail system. Our long driveway offers 3 truck and 3 four place trailer parking.brbrDuring the summer time relax around the fire pit and roast smores, use our charcoal grill to cook, or simply relax at your home away from home. brbrWe are in close proximity to the Ashmun Bay boat launch where you can launch your boat, Canoe or kayak to fish or explore walking trails on the surrounding islands.brbrWe are pet friendly, and require a $50 pet fee, and require that while you are away, they are kenneled.brbrThe entire house is yours to use during your stay. The Spring Summer and Fall cannot be beat, The fragrance of Spring, new blooms and fresh earth, is incomparable. Summer is warm, not too warm, and sitting on the patio watching the many Freighters go by, is an experience you won't forget. Fall is warm and fragrant but with the wonderful miracle of fall foliage turning the many trees to yellow, orange and red.br.We are located within the city limits but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city. The home is fully furnished and very comfortable. The front of the house faces the water and the view is magnificent. Sitting on the stone patio, (reading a book. having a meal, sunbathing) ) you will see large Freighters heading towards the Sault Ste. Marie Locks. The property has large mature evergreen trees as well as a red Maple treebrThis smoke-free air-conditioned home in Sault Ste. Marie Michigan features comfort and relaxation personified. The home is 1850 sq. feet and features 2 bedrooms, with California King-size beds and a T.V. and an office with a queen-size pullout upgraded sofa. The mattresses are to die for! There is a three-piece ensuite bathroom off the master bedroom and a four-piece bathroom off the main hallway. The galley kitchen has a serving bar attached, It houses a stove, fridge, freezer, toaster/oven, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, and dishwasher. The kitchen fridge and freezer as well as the fridge and freezer in the two-car garage are also fully stocked with some store-bought food and drinks as well as homemade food and drinks. My guests are invited to use these foods and drinks as they wish.. The comfort room sports a TV as well as three reclining chairs and a sofa. There is a two-way fireplace which enhances the comfort room and the living room The fireplace is operated by remote control. In addition to these amenities, there is a fully stocked linen cupboard and supply cupboard. The patio off the living room is expansive and has a full set of patio furniture and a gas Bar- b- cue for my guest's convenience. The entrance to my property is via a large circular drive with plenty of parking space.br2023 calls for something more in the Siegman Home Away from Home. I have added a concierge service in which I will shop for your groceries and libations before your arrival. For the guests who wish to make use of this service, I ask you to email me a grocery list a week or so before your arrival. There is no charge for the actual shopping and I will have a receipt for all that is purchased which you can pay on arrival. This should help you not have to worry about shopping, packing the car, keeping the food fresh during the drive, unpacking the car, etc. I have a good deal of foodstuffs at the house so it will prevent you from buying things I already have and will be at your disposal. If you do not wish to take advantage of this service, there is no problem, many of us just like to do our own shopping. brbrbrbrbrbrbrbr

We have knocked out walls, installed new lighting and ceiling fans in every room, new toilets, new mattresses and linens, a new deck, new paint throughout the whole house, new stainless appliances, a new combination gas/charcoal grill on the deck, new dryer, and a combination kcup/traditional coffee maker. We will be landscaping in July, new countertops and sinks are on order as well as a new garage door and shower stall.brThere is a wheelchair ramp at the front door, and the master bathroom is wheelchair accessible.brbrWifi is enabled throughout the house.br We have named this property Mohawk Acres. It's located on the site of the former Mohawk Supper Club and Taffey Abel Lodge.br Clarence Taffy Abel didn't start playing hockey until his late teens. In a few short years he became the flag bearer for the 1924 US Olympic team, the only Native American flag bearer, the first American born NHL player, winner of the Olympic silver medal in 1924, and two Stanley Cups in his 8 years in the NHL. br He returned to the Sault to coach and opened a supper club called Taffy's Lodge. The Detroit Red Wings ran their summer camp in the Sault at the Pullar arena from 48-58. Legend has it that many of the players and coaches spent some quality at Taffy's place! br Taffy passed away in 1964. The Lake Superior State hockey arena is now named after Taffy. Be sure to check out a game when you're in town!
