No other part of Michigan is as beautiful as SBDNL and its 35 miles of Lake Michigan Shoreline and countless inland lakes. In the fall nature abounds as the leaves change color for long walks. In the Winter there is ice fishing, snowmobiling, X-Country Skiing and Crystal Mountain Ski Resort is only 20 minutes away. If you are more into shopping & dining Traverse City is 30 minutes away or Cultural events at Interlochen Arts Academy and their summer concert series of world renowned musicians. The lake side of the house is all windows/sliding doors onto the huge 16'x42' deck. The water is crystal clear and the frontage is SAND and has a very gradual drop in depth to about 5 feet deep for quite a ways out. The house is about 125 ft from the waters edge planted with plush Kentucky blue grass, great for yard games (I supply cornhole, bad mitten, bocce ball, dart toss and pickle ball in the driveway). Boat and Wave Runner Rentals are available from a number of local companies. There is a space on both sides of the dock for a 24ft +/- boat (June-Sept). I supply a 1-person kayak and a 2-person kayak and some blowup tubes and water toys. I supply bed linens, pillows, blankets and hand/bath towels. Also included is kitchen utensils, plates, bowls, pots/pans, Spectrum Cable WiFI/TV and a Brother printer/scanner. I have a Samsung 85 Smart TV on each floor and Master Bedroom. You will not be disappointed in this rare opportunity to rent a 6 year old house (most rentals are older homes with all they portend) to experience all PURE MICHIGAN has to offer. During the months of June, July & August there is a 7-day min. stay. (I will make an exception for the 1st week of June and last week of Aug.) All other times of the year there is a 2-Day min. stay. As you walk in, you are met with room to put all of your coats, shoes, and bags. This will also be the area you will find your washing and drying machine so you can conveniently wash those items that you use while exploring the beautiful nature of our area. You will then walk into your full kitchen and living spaces. We provide you with all of the kitchen utensils to cook, eat, drink and be merry. There is a small dining table with chairs (extra chairs are in the master closet) that serves as both a place to eat and work. The living room is perfect for lounging on the queen size sofa bed, either taking in the sunlight from the windows or watching your favorite streaming service on our smart TV (Spectrum cable channels available too). The spacious master room has a king size bed and walk in closet. Bedroom two has a double and twin sized bed with a large closet.

Welcome to Sandbar Shores on Big Platte Lake. This micro-resort is comprised of three cottages with direct beachfront access and enjoyment of Big Platte Lake. Big Platte Lake is nestled in the heart of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore and is shallow, warm and sandy. brbrThe Big House is steps away from the lake and offers lovely views. This four bedroom house is furnished with two king beds, a queen bed, and two twin beds. There is a living room on the main floor with a 58 television, two couches, two recliners and a large dining table. There is a second living room upstairs with a 43 television, a couch, and two chairs.brbrEach cottage is outfitted with a/c (The Big House only has AC upstairs, which does cool the downstairs a bit), heat, WiFi, Roku televisions, gas grills, linens, towels, pillows, and personal fire pits. The sandy beach lakefront is a shared area between all of the cottages so we request that visitors are limited and courtesy be given to the other quests while enjoying the amenities. brbrThere is working laundry facilities on the premises that is located in the basement of The Big House. Guests from all three cottages have access to the laundry facilities.
