We are a VRBO Premier Host that caters to families looking to make memories and hopefully come back year after year. Families that book with us this year will have the first opportunity to book for the following summer brbrThe home has just gone through significant updating in the kitchen and lower living room areas. The home is fully equipped and all new appliances. The home is only a couple hundred feet from the waters edge and shared gathering area. There is also a larger beach area a couple minutes up the road. brbrThe home is approximately 3100sq ft, 4 bedroom/sleeping quarters, 3 full and 1 half baths. The main floor bedroom has a queen bed. The 2nd floor bedroom has a king bed and small sitting area and its own full bathroom. There is a small walkout balcony off the sitting area as well. This room has a spiral staircase that leads to the 3rd story loft. The spacious loft has a queen bed, sitting area, and half bathroom. There is also a private deck off of this area to enjoy your morning coffee. The bunkhouse room is the biggest of all the sleeping quarters and is great for kids. The bunk house has 2 queen beds, a triple twin bunk beds (kids LOVE it) and a loft with a full. There is a foosball table, xbox and tv to keep everyone entertained. The bunkhouse has its own full bath. There is also a 240volt outlet at the driveway to charge an EV.brbrbrbrThe town of Frankfort is about 5miles from us. It has a terrific beach and is a great place to watch the sunset. Frankfort has some cute local boutiques for shopping and a mix of different restaurants. brbrIf you are not familiar with the Frankfort area, you will find that there is something for EVERYONE. Crystal Mountain is 15min from us and offers great golf and winter skiing. The best golf course in the state, Arcadia Bluffs, is a short 20min drive. Sleeping Bear Dunes (rated one of the best national parks in the US) is 30-40 min drive. The are miles of nature hiking/biking trails. Lighthouses. Sand Dunes. So so much to do. Our home has 4 kayaks with life vests for you to use. Currently we have 4 adult sized Trek and Cannondale bikes for you to use and 2 youth sized ones. You must bring your own helmets.brbrDid I mention Crystal lake is absolutely breathtaking It is the 9th largest lake in Michigan. It is amazingly clear and blue. It offers great fishing and is 1 of only 2 lakes in Michigan with a sustained coho salmon population. There is a DNR boat launch a mile up the road and a small marina on the lake to gas up during your stay. Our home is approximately 250ft from the lake. Mollineaux beach is less than a mile from the home. brbrOur focus is families and making year over year memories. Party groups need not apply. Extra guests (guests not declared on the booking information) are not permitted and can be grounds for cancelling the remainder of the booking without refunds. The neighborhood is primarily made up of vacation homes of professional families.brbrOutside of the immediate neighborhood, the home is just a few miles from downtown Frankfort, which has a charming collection of shops, restaurants, cafes, and a microbrewery (Stormcloud). Frankfort also has a fantastic public beach on Lake Michigan and a popular historic lighthouse. The Bright and Breezy is also less than a 30-minute drive from both the start of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (to the north) as well as Crystal Mountain Ski Resort (to the southeast).brbrThe house is also only about a 1-hour drive east to Traverse City. Traverse City is the business, arts, recreation, entertainment, dining, and shopping hub of all of Northern Michigan and it provides a vast variety of bigger city things to see and do.brbrbrGUEST ACCESS:brbrGuests have access to the entire house, except for the furnace room which is locked off for storage.brbrbrTHE SPACE:brbrIt is important to understand the layout of the house. The house is a bit of a treehouse in that the main shared living space in terms of the living room, dining room, and the kitchen ARE ALL LOCATED ON THE SECOND FLOOR. Thus, the home may not work well for everybody.brbrAnother important aspect of the layout is that the two downstairs bedrooms and the downstairs bathroom are somewhat separated from the rest of the house. Built in 2018, the Maple house is set high atop the bluffs overlooking Lake Michigan one mile North of Downtown Frankfort. Four bedroom, 3.5 bath with open main floor living space, wraparound deck, dining room and kitchen island seating for 12. Kitchen opens to living and dining rooms with Lake Michigan views. Two rollaways and a sleeper sofa can accommodate groups of up to 12 in beds.brbr**Due to high water and erosion on Lake Michigan, we have closed the stairs down the Bluff (June 2020). If you wish to spend time on the beach, we recommend the Frankfort Public Beach or any of the public beaches on Crystal Lake. We hope to reopen the stairs as soon as mother nature allows us.**brbrThe Frankfort area is home to a deep water marina, the Stormcloud Brewery, Pointe Betsie Lighthouse, Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, Arcadia Bluffs Golf Courses, wine tours, skiing at Crystal Mountain and you don't need to leave our property to hike, mountain bike and explore the dune and forests. Snowshoeing and cross country skiing can be enjoyed from your front door in the Winter.
