You can bring your own boat/Jet-ski & park in our boat slip a few steps out the front door at the marina. Kayak to Turnip Rock, book a fishing charter & enjoy your fresh catch for dinner at the neighboring restaurant, relax at our private sandy beach w/ tiki bar on Lake Huron among so many other fun things around Port Austin, Grindstone City, & Caseville.brbrThis spacious Grindstone City beach house can sleep up to 18 people in beds. With 8 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and almost 5,000 sq ft you can have large groups without feeling all packed in to one small space. The main level has the master bedroom with attached bath and entryway to living room that wraps around to the large dining room area which is over looked by the oversized kitchen and the entry way leading from the driveway. brbrThere are 4 bedrooms upstairs with a full bathroom that has the shower and toilet area that is separated from the double vanity by just closing a door. Each room upstairs also has its own wall mounted mini-split so you can separately set your AC/heat to your liking. 3 of the 4 rooms all have their own flat screen smart TV’s as well. This upper level of the house is also where the laundry room is located. This home just finished up remodeling in early summer of 2022 with having a vacation rental property in mind therefor making everything thought out with all our guests needs in mind. brbrThe lower level/walkout basement is kind of like a 3 bedroom 1 bath house itself. This spacious fully finished basement has an open concept living room/kitchen area with round dining room table in front of the big bay window and sliding glass door looking out to the beautiful views of Lake Huron. The full kitchen amenities include matching stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dish washer. Just out the sliding glass door is the lower level patio area that is covered by the deck/patio up above. This is where the large flat top Blackstone grill and propane BBQ are located for easy cooking with the open concept kitchen and basement living room just a few steps away. brbrThis beach house has not only our own private natural sandy beach but also a huge spacious back/side yard with a camper/RV power hook up on the pole barn/garage if some of your group would like to stay in their camper in the side yard and still plenty of yard space. A major bonus that we just had custom built in the back yard is our Tiki Bar and two fire pit/gathering areas perfect for the entire family to gather around for some s’mores and a bon fire. brbrWith so much to do in neighboring Port Austin just a short 5 min car ride away there will never be a dull moment. You can rent a kayak and paddle to Turnip Rock for beautiful views or check out one of the biggest and fun farmers market in Michigans thumb area. If you would rather be out on the big Great Lake Huron you can bring your own boat or jet skis as we also have our own boat slip for our guests to use. There are also many different fishing charters that dock in the marina as well. What is very cool about having the fishing charters so close you can see their haul for the day and what they bring back while sitting on our deck. They measure and cut the fish right across the street as well and when you do catch fish on any of the charters you can take it directly next door at the Days On The Lake and they will cook it up to serve it to you for dinner.brbrThe entire house and garage are available for guests to use. The only area we keep locked is a supply closet upstairs and a utility room in the basement. Everything else is included for guest use. We also have a boat slip in the marina just a few step walk across the street for guests to use if they bring their own boat or jet-ski’s.brbrI am available before, during, and after a guests stay on my cell for guests to text/call anytime.brbrGrindstone is home to many of the serious charter boat captains and fishing enthusiasts. Salmon, lake trout, steelhead, walleye and small mouth bass are just a few varieties of the fishing opportunities. Port Austin is rich in history and offers a spectacular view of the Port Austin Reef Lighthouse. Turnip Rock is located in Lake Huron just offshore and is one of the great natural wonders of Michigan. This charming village also boasts one of the largest Farmers Markets in Michigan.brbrThere is plenty of parking in our driveway or in the neighboring state park that is just right next door. You can drive into port Austin only a few minutes away and they have things e bikes you can rent to get around town with among many other fun things.brEvents & Pets are only allowed with prior approval from management. Many updates inside and out including central air . We do have 4 unadvertised RV sites on the same property, 2 are full time seasonal sites. brWe have a quarry that we have been working on to clean up and deepen, so there might also be an excavator on site and I never know when he'll be there, he's a super nice guy but his equipment is loud, he is not there all the time. There's a nice patio with chairs overlooking the quarry to enjoy and relax. brPlease please please keep an eye on your kids! Lots of water around you here.. brThere's 1 large community fire pit or a small more portable one if you'd rather be more by yourself. brJust bring your personal items and you'll be ready to start your vacation. Includes cable/Xfinity streaming box, (please bring your own passwords for the different streaming sites), and internet. Sheets and towels. Sleeps 4 comfortably, (but does include a full size pull out sofa and a regular couch), 1 queen, and 1 full sized bed. brKitchen is fully stocked with full sized fridge, range, microwave. Pots n pans, dinnerware, towels, storage bowls etc. (Minus a vegetable peeler, I'm told lol.) You may have to bring your own plastic wrap and bags, foil or whatever favorite items you may need to make your stay more comfortable. We have a couple charcoal grills on the property for your use.brPet friendly, (with restrictions). Please clean up after your pet and leashes are a must.brWe do have city water delivered in a large tank, not many wells in our area.brbrDriving directions: m25 north to Pearson Rd. Walk to the Farmer's Market and restaurants in town, Paks Backyard, kayak rental, marina, Glen Royal Wedding Venue and the State Harbor in minutes. Bird Creek Park and Beach and splash pad are right in our neighborhood. Literally walk everywhere! br(Please keep in mind that your booking amount includes a refundable security deposit when totaled). br*Sleeps 10 ~Two bedrooms have Queen beds and two have full beds. Two couches in the living room if you need some more room. br*Two bathrooms. Perfect for families with a sandy beach; it is located just 10 minutes east of Port Austin, 5 minutes from Grindstone City's famous homemade ice cream, and a 1/2 mile from Point Aux Barques Lighthouse that has a playground and park. brThis three bedroom, two full bath home sleeps 9 and features a new King bed in every room as well as twins for the kids or additional guests. There are also smart TVs in every bedroom, but hope you’ll be too busy enjoying the natural surroundings to turn it on. brThis house is full of light with views of the lake from nearly every room. Keep comfortable inside with opening the two large slider's to capture the breeze off the lake or use the AC and Heat to keep cozy to your liking. brCook with a view of Lake Huron on all new stainless steel appliances and a well-stocked kitchen. Or cook outside on the 36 flattop grill on the large cement patio elevated for a great view of the beach and bay. There are plenty of options for outside dining with an oversized picnic table that can fit 10 as well as an additional dining set on the patio. brUnwind around a fire pit on the beach under a sky full of stars in comfortable Adirondack chairs for all guests. We have marshmallow roaster sticks as well for all the S’more making you could want! brThere are plenty of spaces to enjoy a nap or good book as the mature trees on the property offer the prefect combination of privacy and shade on the large 1/2 acre lot (this allows for plenty of room for parking too!). brFor those rainy days or when you need a break from the sun the house has the garage set-up for ping-pong, art space for the kids to make a mess, yard games (ladder ball, corn hole, etc) and covered lounging. brWhether you’re here for sunny beach days or crisp fall mornings, Huron Bay House is the perfect retreat year-round. This house was built for family and we hope yours comes to stay! brbr br***The bay we are located on is very shallow; you can walk out a football field’s distance on the sand bottom and only be chest deep. It can not accommodate prop boats; we have only seen kayaks, sail boats, jet-skis and flat bottomed fishing boats on it. brAlso please note the beach is always changing, some days its a full sandy beach at the shore break; sometimes there is a line of muck. Good news is it can be gone over a wavy night or when the wind changes, but if it is present during your stay and muck bothers you may want water shoes or to walk down the beach a little bit to where its not. We do put a dock out to help with this when it occurs and have an outside foot washing station for sandy feet or sandy paws***
