Wow! We were absolutely amazed by the wonderful hospitality of these hosts! They made sure we had everything we needed and provide such a peaceful and gorgeous setting on Sugar Island. The house was perfect for our large family and everyone was very comfortable. The small store on site has ice cream, cold drinks and unique treasures.

Our family of nine vacationed for a week. Fantastic time, enjoyed the property. Plenty to do without leaving-basketball, swimming, fire pit, sun rises, canoeing, simply relaxing! But, close enough to take a couple day trips. (We went to Mackinac City and Tahquamenon Falls)The hosts were amazing! Always around and a pleasure to sit and talk with.

when i booked this place it looked like we would be in the house on the water and have the property to ourselves. that wasn’t the case. the owners live on the property and rent out another cabin on the land. i would not have rented this place if i had knew that. very unhappy with that and how much money it was per night for all that.

Stayed with friends and family there in late August. The drive from city, ferry ride and the island itself is five stars. Hosts are really friendly and welcoming people. Special thanks to Brice (hope I am spelling right); host's son for helping us with the boat and fishing. Problems are; - Hosts are not experienced. The property is not waterfront as the picture of outside of the house with boat deck shows (even as of September 9, 2020). That house is owners’ house. You get a cabin in the back by the road. You have access to deck and waterfront but you won’t be sleeping in water front. - Amenities are not supplied regularly. Expect pest and insects as it is an island, we did not mind that - Front porch is muddy and needs care. Rain makes it worse - This property should not be listed for 12 people; rather for 6-8 people as there is only one bathroom - No wifi (I did not mind, kids with us did). There is no cell signal (not owner’s fault) there either so be prepared I am hesitant to mark it as bad property as we had great time boating and chatting with the owner and took thousands of great pictures on the beautiful deck walk…. All we expected a cabin as per the description pictures.
