The cabin is very rustic and it was very warm since there is no air or insulation. Our major complaint is we did not understand from the listing that it is actually part of a compound of other cabins a store and main house. Therefore, privacy was not what we had expected. We ended up leaving and went to a hotel because if we were not going to remote private setting we might as well have comfortable surroundings.

Didn't know other cabins and large home on property. Fire pit and grill was shared with other cabins so if in use already sol. Was very friendly and understood that the dog's are our kids. Although checked box on form saying that we had dogs but seemed surprised and charged extra 50 per pet. Very friendly couple, even offered to take hubby out on fishing boat. Smoke from Canada made it difficult to see much in the sky but beautifully dark at night and was able to see some stars.

Very easy to ask questions as the host is always nearby! Also a beautiful location in a charming little rustic cabin! It was nice to unplug and get a little sunburnt.

Booked for Wed-Fri and arrived to an unfinished super rustic cabin that was dirty and hotter than a sauna. Host tells us she was sorry it was so hot and she just opened a window and was climbing to turn on ceiling fan she was knocking dust off of and instructs us that we could open more windows. We were checking in at 4 PM per her policy so she had all day to air it out knowing we were coming. There were carpenter ants in every room and furniture was sub par. The pics on site are accurate however she does not show the bad and its not at all whats expected. We told her we would not be comfortable staying there and why and all she would say is that her reviews were all good. Her reviews were mostly from 4 years ago and 2 from last year. Asked for partial refund and she refused! Renters beware Pic are not what you get when you arrive.

Shari and Jeff were awesome hosts, bringing us a flashlight in case the power went out during storms and taking my daughter on an ATV to see the ships around the point. The cabin was very rustic and cute. My 12 y. o. was happy to have a 2 hoop basketball court, floating docks on the water and boats available for use. We enjoyed fishing and swimming from their beach. The weather was unusually hot and the cabin became unbearable for sleeping with no AC and a missing screen. We were prepared for the mosquitoes but not the heat. We know the hosts are working on installing full-length curtains, fixing an outlet and working on the cabin ventilation and door knobs. Wi-fi was not working and internet was spotty at best. Beautiful setting and great place to unplug. Would have enjoyed it more if we could sleep at night. Thank you to Shari and Jeff for welcoming us and doing their best to make us comfortable. We left 2 days early due to the heat and the hosts sent us a gift certificate to ease our loss which was most appreciated. Sugar Island is beautiful with a close view of Canada.
