Our guests' reviews comment how the fully stocked kitchen is the best they have ever rented. The lower level consists of 3 bedrooms (1 King, 1 queen + bunk bedroom). The kids bunk bed is a full over full bunk bed with a twin trundle so the bunk room can sleep 5 kiddos comfortably. The kid's bedroom closet is full of toys, puzzles, and games to keep your kiddos entertained while on vacation. There is a renovated 1 bedroom (queen), 1 bathroom apartment attached, a perfect in-law suite so the home has 2 kitchens and 2 living room areas. Our historic home is full of character and charm. Guests find it great for a multi-family vacation and cozy enough for a couple's getaway. It's been in our family for decades and we stay here often so it is well-maintained and professionally cleaned after each stay. Large home has 5 bedrooms and sleeps up to 10 people. brbrThe Living Room is spacious with a 13’ ceiling and comfy seating for watching movies and napping. TV has Roku for logging into your own streaming accounts plus an assortment of DVDs. brbrSitting Room - Relax in our sitting room with a card game and a variety of board games and puzzles for all ages. An exterior door opens to the corner porch, which is lighted at night and lovely for keeping cool in the summertime (no AC).brbrTwo bedrooms are on main floor with queen and double beds. Three bedrooms upstairs with twin beds or bunks.brbrThere is one full bathroom (Sorry, only one toilet in this old house! That's how they did it in the 1800s.) It includes the original clawfoot tub w/ shower but an extra shower and sink vanity is located in the laundry room for added convenience. brbrQuirks - This old house has original wood floors, very tall ceilings, cast iron registers, solid wood doors with original handles and a staircase that is creaky. It’s the kind of house that is made for an episode of “Home Town” on HGTV. The bathroom is in the center of the home and is a passageway from the kitchen to the middle bedroom. The master bedroom was originally a parlor room therefore there is no bedroom door. Instead, Curtains provide privacy from the sitting room. There is also no AC in the home - it is cooled the old-fashioned way but fans, newer windows in many rooms and the porch doors provide plenty of breeze.brbrOutside: Large corner lot with parking space for up to 4 vehicles. Covered parking for two vehicles. A large city park is across Division Street behind the house and is great for playing catch with the dog! Downtown is just a five minute walk to cafes and bars.

If you are looking for the perfect location with an outstanding view. This is the place for you. We sit on 9 acres overlooking the South Arm of Lake Charlevoix. You can rent a watercraft directly across the road at Summertime rental. Take one of our canoes down the Jordan river and float all the way back home. There are two public beaches less than a mile away in either direction. Next to the Tourist Park, there are tennis and basketball courts. We have two wedding venues less than two miles away, The Jordan Valley Barn and the Boathouse. Castle Farms and Charlevoix are 9 miles away. Boyne Mt and Boyne city are 10 miles away. This is a multi-family home and can sleep 16. There are living rooms in the upper and lower level of the house. So, the kids can be downstairs and have their own privacy, with room to play. If the kids are adventurous, bring sleeping bags and they can pitch our tent in the yard. They should have no problem being entertained. We have two Smart TVs, board games, horseshoes, cornhole, two canoes and a firepit with a beautiful view. East Jordan is still a quiet little town but up and coming. You can fish, hunt, hike, mountain bike, boat, float and many more things, right here in East Jordan. In the winter the snowmobile trail goes right behind the house and of course Boyne Mt for skiing. I live in the area and can help with any questions you may have. The house has been totally remodeled and is perfect for larger groups..

To sleep 12, will need to use big couches or air mattresses that are available for a couple of people.br The cottage is located on beautiful Lake Charlevoix with great views for leisurely morning coffee on the deck and awesome sunsets down by the water. The lake is gorgeous with a sandy bottom, beaches for swimming and great water for all sports.brbrThere is a boat hoist that can accommodate a typical speed boat with a v hull and up to about 24 feet and an 8 foot beam with a maximum weight of 4000 pounds. Additionally there is a mooring buoy for pontoon and tritoon style boats . Use will require walking floating or swimming out to mooring buoy for usage at this point. brbr The cottage sits down a private drive with only two other homes down the driveway lending to a very quiet and secluded atmosphere. Enjoy sunrise and sunsets from the beautiful deck. There is a large grassy yard to play all sorts of outdoor activities. The deck has a gas grill. The yard also has a fire pit for a evening campfire by the water.brSpacious kitchen with all the amenities. Two refrigerators and large separate freezer to accommodate all the food and drinks for large groups. Large vaulted ceiling family room with a great view of Lake Charleviox. The family room has a wood burning stone fireplace, 52 inch flat screen TV with blu ray player, very comfortable couches and two sitting chairs. Master suite with a king size bed, a view from the bed that you have to see to believe and an attached master bath with double shower heads. There are TV's in the master and another bedroom as well. There is a crib located in the master bedroon and an adjoining sunroom with a futon that can sleep two guests. Double doors can be closed for privacy.brOff the kitchen is a full bath attached to the laundry room with washer and dryer.brThrough the living room at the other end of home are three bedrooms, one with bunk beds, second bedroom with double bed and third bedroom with a queen size bed with walkout to the deck an attached full bath with Jacuzzi tub. This bathroom allows external access for the other bedroom guests.brThe cottage is located about 3 miles from the Ironton Ferry. Charlevoix, East Jordan, Petoskey and Harbor Springs are all just a short drive or better yet, a boat ride away!br Whiting Park is about 2 miles away which has a very nice public beach, along with swing sets, grills and pavilions. The fully stocked kitchen includes an oven/range, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. The bedroom is a queen size bed. There are two AC units, one in the main living space and the other in the bedroom to keep you cool and comfortable during the summer months. All linens & towels are provided, there is no washing machine or dryer.brThe driveway has a slight drop down to it so during high snow fall, a low vehicle may have trouble getting out. Snowplow service is provided when snowfall is greater than 4 inches. brbr**NOTE** This one bedroom/ one bathroom apartment is attached to our main house and both units are listed on VRBO and both properties can be rented at the same time.
