The place was GREAT. Had many amenities, more than most that I've stayed in. The host was very accomodating and very easy to get a hold of. You never had to wait for a response. The neigborhood felt safe and is walking distance to shopping, historic sites and resaurants. The outside grounds needed some work but it is the UP and it has just started to get nice out. I'm sure it's beautiful in the summer.

The home was very clean and set up nicely. Super close to everything we needed. Barbara had left some breakfast foods for us and all kitchen utensils we needed were there. I would definitely stay here again!

This was truly the perfect place for our mini-vacation home. There were only three of us, so we had more than enough space to spread out and relax as we watched the snowflakes come down while reading in the spacious and cozy front room, or lounging in one of the upstairs bedrooms or nooks. The kitchen had everything we needed to get our coffee and breakfasts sorted and we even had the family over for a casual dinner one evening and used the dining room. The location was also perfect for taking quiet walks along the snow covered streets in the evening or heading over to Bird's Eye for coffee during the day, or down the road to the Pullar for a hockey game. Barbara was very easy to communicate with and we could easily coordinate moving the car to accommodate snow removal. It was all a breeze and I would absolutely stay again. As noted by others, this is an older home so there is expected wear in places but the home was spotless and well taken care of. Also, very quiet which is also important. Wonderful home, thank you!

We planned our girls weekend in the Soo to visit my granddaughter who attends LSSU and to watch my grandson play hockey, and it turned into such a memorable trip. The home we stayed in was clean, comfortable, and relaxing — the perfect place to unwind after a busy day.We ate most of our meals out and found several great restaurants in the area. Between cheering at the rink, catching up with family, and enjoying the local food, the whole weekend felt special. The communication with the home manager was excellent. She checked in to make sure everything was going well and that we had everything we needed, which made the stay even better.A wonderful trip all around — we’d definitely come back!

If you’re looking for old world charm in the middle of the Soo, this is for you! There is plenty of room for a large family, amenities are perfect for creating a lovely dinner party, and the decor is very comfortable and inviting. The host (Barbara) is very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. It was perfect for our Lake Stare weekend reunion!

It has great location, near downtown. It has everything what you need in the kitchen. It's old house, could be renowated a little bit. There's a smell of old house but can get use to it after some time. The bed in one of the downstairs bedroom was very noisy and uncomfortable

I stayed at this house for a family get together, and it was perfect. The house is close to downtown, so I was able to walk there. Close to the Catholic church. The multiple rooms and bathrooms satisfied the 4 family groups that we brought together.

Enjoyed this place. 6 of us stayed for a bowling weekend. Enjoyed it, relaxing and playing cards. While an older house, it is well maintained and host had stocked with everyhing we needed. Was well worth the price.

We were traveling together for a family wedding. The home was cozy and comfortable and filled with little extra amenities – breakfast foods stocked in the kitchen. The owner checked in several times to see if everything was to our satisfaction. It felt like our home away from home. You have a beautiful home!

The Soo was where we stayed and went to the falls and Lake Superior lake shore. Honestly couldn't have gotten a better deal anywhere. Staying in a historic house was such a treat and Barbara was reachable immediately by text for or few questions.
