THE Treehouse, Panoramic Views, Coffee Bar, KING Bed

Cascade-Chipita Park, Colorado, United States

*If booking a stay for Oct.-May please carefully read winter info.brbrWelcome to the Treehouse - the ultimate Colorado getaway. Perched high in the trees with panoramic views, you’ll never want to leave. This completely remodeled, octagon house is just 15 minutes from attractions in Colorado Springs and 5 minutes from the famous Pikes Peak Highway and gorgeous hiking trails - you are right in the middle of plenty to do while also being tucked away in your own little forest paradise.brbrThe space:brbrAlthough not actually built on trees, we call this place the treehouse because of its unique design as an octagon house perched high on a pedestal surrounded by the forest - you’ll feel like you’re in a treehouse. Upon entering the Treehouse you will find the beautiful living space with comfortable seating, wood burning stove, and floor to ceiling windows to take in the views of the ever-changing Colorado landscape.brbrThere is a fully stocked kitchen with brand new appliances and complete with extra touches like a coffee bar and waffle maker.brbrEnjoy locally roasted coffee on one of two decks and watch the hummingbirds and wildlife that often come to visit. Or spend an evening roasting s’mores by the propane fire pit.brbrFor a perfect day in, there are puzzles, games, a smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, and Disney Plus, and a record player with a collection of some of our favorite records for you to enjoy. Please note that there is currently no cable service at the Treehouse.brbrThere is one bedroom with a comfortable king mattress and plush linens. Large windows let in lots of light and let you wake up surrounded by the trees.brbrThere is one full bathroom with an oversized tub with a rainfall shower. Please note there is a tall step into the bath tub/shower.brbrGuest access:brbrThe driveway is VERY STEEP. We don’t want you to be surprised when you arrive. We recommend bringing a vehicle with good clearance and good tires, preferably 4 wheel drive. When you get to the driveway, put your car in 1st gear and and don’t pause before driving up and you’ll be just fine!brbrSome of the roads and driveway to the treehouse are very steep. In the winter months (October-April) 4 wheel drive is required if we have a winter storm during your visit. We can get a lot of snow and ice which is beautiful but not for the faint of heart! We are not responsible if you cannot make it to the treehouse because of weather. Please bring a suitable vehicle.brbrThere is plenty of parking for up to two cars at the top of the driveway.brbrDue to the nature of this unique property, please keep in mind that there are several sets of stairs to climb to enter the Treehouse.brbrWinter booking details:brbrThere is ALWAYS the chance that it could be snowing, especially October through May. Colorado weather is very unpredictable. It could be 70 one day and blizzarding the next. Again, please bring a AWD vehicle and be prepared. If you’re the kind of person who is up for an adventure and doesn’t mind walking up a steep driveway in the snow in the worse case scenario, winter is one of our favorite times to experience the Treehouse!brbrIf it’s actively snowing and your car is parked at the top of the driveway, you will be stuck inside until it stops snowing and the driveway is cleared. If there’s snow on the driveway, it’ll be too slick to drive down. We have a wood burning stove, a soaking tub, games, books, and hot drinks for the perfect winter days in.brbrOther things to note:brbrThe Treehouse is ideal for mature adults who are looking for a peaceful getaway to connect with each other and with nature. We do have neighbors who are full time residents, and we care deeply about ensuring the area remains quiet and peaceful for them. We do not allow parties or gatherings above the specified number of guests in the reservation. Please plan accordingly.brbrAbsolutely no smoking of any kind is allowed anywhere on the property.brbrBecause we are backed up to national forest we are regularly visited by wildlife including bears, deer, moose, foxes and even mountain lions. While this is one of the reasons we love the property so much, please be aware.brbrCell service is very patchy in the area. Verizon works best. Once you get to the Treehouse, we have fast and reliable WiFi.

RV's and Trailers are not advised due to parking arrangement.brbrbrbrThe Neighborhood:brbrCascade is ideally situated for the traveler who wants to explore the Colorado Spring/Pikes Peak region to the fullest. This is where the Pikes Peak Highway begins, leading you up-mountain to the 14,000-foot-high summit of Pikes Peak.brbrbrbrTucked in the Rocky Mountains, Cascade is surrounded by outdoorsy delights, including hiking trails, canyons, rafting adventures, hunting, ziplining, and much more.brbrbrbrCascade is a mere 24-minute drive to Colorado Springs where you’ll enjoy award-winning dining, shopping, and cultural experiences.brbrbrbrThe region abounds with museums and natural wonders, including sites like the 300-foot-tall rock towers of the Garden of the Gods, and opportunities for unique regional experiences like fossil hunting or viewing native wildlife. The town of Cascade offers casual dining options, and a 10-minute drive to Woodland Park multiplies those options with familiar national dining and shopping chains, as well as supermarkets.brbrbrbrGetting Around:brbrWe recommend that you have a car or use Uber or Lyft when traveling in the Pikes Peak Region. We're happy to provide bus schedules and maps too if you'd like to use public transportation. The paved roads fully maintained by El Paso County Department of transportation. If your reservation is in Fall or Winter Season please know that a 4x4 or AWD vehicle is recommended in case Mother Nature decides to share some snow.
