Families and large groups have stayed here comfortably.brThis bright, modern suite is the first floor of a house, and was first professionally renovated and soundproofed in the Spring of 2012. The suite is all above ground with full-height ceilings, spacious, and very bright and spacious.brThe suite includes two wings - always rented to same group/family. Each wing with one bedroom and one bathroom - so that two couples, or members of a larger family, may have privacy if they wish. One of the wings also has a small single bed perfect for children and guests. The suite is always rented to one couple or family.brThe entrance is separate, facing a private and fully-fenced garden. There are only two steps up to enter the suite.brThe master bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom has a queen size bed with a high end mattress and wonderful, soft sheets. brWith hardwood floors and tile throughout, the suite is fully furnished and equipped with high quality bedding, towels, plates, cutlery (Henkles, Denby) in a warm, modern style. There are dishes for many guests, and varied cookware to prepare meals for a large family (plenty of pots including large pots and frying pans; plenty of bakeware and all essential small appliances for easy cooking)The suite has its own laundry (modern front loading machines), built-in vacuum system. The patio and backyard are fenced and private with furniture to relax and enjoy the birds and the flowers.brThe home is one kilometer from beach access, and 1.4 kilometers from Mount Douglas Park. Downtown is only a 15 min drive. UVIC is only 4 Km away. The street nearby (Ash Road) is a main Bus route for an easy ride to Uvic and Downtown Victoria.brABOUT bringing a dog: We love dogs and believe that it is possible to bring a dog and not cause any damage. We require pet deposit and a pet fee to cover the extra extensive cleaning and washing required to erase all traces. In addition we use special washable covers in our sofas (not meant for dogs to sit on but to capture any fur that lands on sofas). If you wish to bring your dog(s), please email us with details of breed and age. Thoughtful dog owners will gladly agree to:br- Have the dog groomed shortly before arrival to reduce shedding and possibility of scratching floorsbr- Will not leave dog alone in the house unless it stays relaxed (fearful dogs will bark continuously and scratch the door). If you feel comfortable leaving your dog alone, it must be restricted to the entrance hall and laundry area. This will save furniture from possible chewing.br- Will pick up daily if dog uses backyard (which it is welcome to roam around)br- Will not leave dog attended in backyard if there is a change of digging. If dog digs, owner repairs the damage immediately and will not leave dog unattended in backyard.brWe cannot accommodate cats and :br- Dogs who are not house trained br- Puppies who are still learning to stay quiet, being house trained and tend to chew on things and furniturebr- Dogs who tend to bark often even when owners are at home (we don't mind occasional barking)br- Medium and large young dogs who have a lot of energy and like to run inside the house.
