CHILDREN ARE WELCOMED.brbrThe House has 4 Bedrooms, Den with Fireplace (Gas Logs) and TV (one of the pictures, which shows the Den, I am standing in the picture but that was a few years ago---life has a way of changing how we look---I am now older), Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, 2 Bathrooms (One is very Large with Washer and Dryer and the other one has a Shower with a Seat to Sit on in the Shower), Deck, Picnic Table, Charcoal Grill and Fire Pit. Tables and Chairs on the Deck will seat 8 or 10 People. Two Bedrooms have Queen Beds. One of the other Bedrooms have 2 Double Beds and the other Bedroom has 1 Double Bed. All of the Bedrooms have Large Closets plus Blinds on the Windows to make your Bedroom Darker for a good Night's Sleep.. In the Formal Living Room is a Brown Couch which can be made into a Queen Bed. Children's Books and Horseshoe Game made of Plastic, so no one will get hurt while playing this game. Bring your Computer (FREE HIGH SPEED INTERNET) and Work during the Day and have Fun in the Evening with your Family. Desk and Chair is located in the Formal Living Room.brbrThe House Sits on 2 Acres of Land with lots of Room for Children to Play. Our 2 children grew up in this House. We have neighbors on both sides of the house, and they are wonderful neighbors. If you need them, they will help you but if you do not need them, they will never bother you.brbrOne thing we Loved about this House while Living in the House, was the ability to look at the Beautiful Sky at Night with the Moon and Stars. Our neighbors are quiet and when the skies are clear you should be able to enjoy this Night Time Scene. Also, we enjoyed Watching the Cows across the Road from the Front of our House, plus Deer grazing in the Pasture, and other wildlife such as Ducks, Rabbits, Squirrels, etc. brbrAt the Back of the House, we have a Nice Deck with Outdoor Tables and Chairs for 8 people. If you need more, just let us know before you arrival. Also, there is a Grill to use and a Fire Pit to Roast Marshmallows or enjoy the these anytime during the Year. If you need wood, you can either bring your own or purchase it at several stores near Abingdon, Va.brbrAbout a mile from the vacation house is located a branch of the Holston River. If you like to Kayak or Fish, this is a nice place to be able to do either one. If you do not live in Virginia, you will need to purchase a Virginia fishing license. The famous Creeper Trail is located about a 10 minute drive from the vacation house. There are a lot of different places to visit and great restaurants in Abingdon, Va. Just google what you are interested in doing while visiting the area and you can find the location of the places you would like to visit. We love the Mountains and that is why we are living in this area. The house is located very close to Tenn., N.C., and West Virginia. You can be in Tenn. in about 15 minutes from the vacation house. N.C. and West Virginia are about 1 1/2 hour drive.brbrWe usually are home most of the time and live only about 1/2 mile from the house. Come and enjoy our home in beautiful Washington County VA. Our home sits on 18 acres of natures beauty mix of wood and pasture land. As you walk through the door you enter the great room where the whole family can gather. The kitchen is fully equipped for all those home cooked meals. Sit and have a romantic meal or just relax in the living room by the warm fire. The first floor also offers a mud room, laundry room, full bathroom with tub/shower combo and “The Americana Room” with two double beds. As you walk up the stair straight ahead will be your second full bathroom (Tub Only). On your right you’ll enter “The Bicycle Room” with a queen size bed. Directly across the hall you will enter “The Farm Room” with a queen size bed. This room offers it own private balcony with a table and two chairs. An amazing place to start your morning with a cup of coffee or end the day holding the one you love watching the sunset. As you go back to the hallway take the stair to the third floor “The Kids Retreat”. You will find on your left a TV, DVD player and a couple Big Joe Chairs. To your right is a double size bed that is sitting closer to the floor. This room offers amazing views of Whitetop mountain! We are all kids at heart… Adults are welcome too!! Our home offers Central heating and air on the 1st and 2nd floor and a AC unit on the 3rd floor. In the fall and winter months you will have a gas fireplace on the 1st floor and baseboard heating on the 3rd floor. Now that your have toured the inside of our home lets go outside. Our beautiful coved porch offers three rocking chairs for relaxing and telling stories of the past. Our deck offers a dining table with six chairs for enjoying nature while you eat and then you can relax on the patio furniture and watch the stars while enjoying the quietness of the air. Don’t forget about our charcoal grill located on the left side of the house. We also have a fire pit outback with six chairs for roasting marshmallows and making s’mores. We hope you and your family enjoy your stay with us and your family will feel the warmth and love when entering our home!
