This one-of-a-kind guesthouse's architecture and decor are modeled after Italian Alpine homes. The natural fir floors will envelop you with their warmth and the views will take your breath away. The guesthouse is located less than a mile from downtown Crozet, all wineries and 151, 20 minutes from Charlottesville on 76 acres of land, central and private. The views of the Blue Ridge Mountains are spectaculars. On the main living floor is the luxury kitchen, king bedroom with en-suite full bath and living room. The loft has an office area, couch and washer and dryer. On the lower level, the dining table, full bathroom and a very comfortable Italian queen sleeper sofa. This is not your typical sleeper sofa: no middle bar! The guesthouse accommodates four guests comfortably. Because of the very unique wood floor, we ask all our guests to take their shoes off and pets are not allowed. The home has stairs between all the floors. The working lavender farm has an acre of lavender plants that flower between early June and July. Guest are welcome to walk amongst the lavender plants or follow the trail that leads to Mint Springs Park for a challenging hike. You will not find another accommodation alike.

Full-time vacation rental on The Square in Crozet (very close to railroad tracks). brbrThere are two studio apartments located on the second level of our building - the Train Suite and the Mountain Suite. They are available individually or together. The ground level is commercial space occupied by our real estate office, Stevens & Company. There are 21 fairly steep steps to the second level. brbrThe second level was once a toy store and was renovated in 2005 into two apartments. Our studio apartment features an open living area separated into sitting area with comfy sectional sofa and sleeping area with queen-size bed. There is a wide-screen HDTV with Xfinity with local channels and wireless high-speed internet. brbrThe full kitchen is open to the rest of the apartment and features a full-size refrigerator, stove and microwave. Stocked with dishes, glasses and cookware. brbrThere is a full bath with stand-up shower. The home comfortably sleeps 12 or more guests across four spacious bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The main level includes an updated kitchen with an island and bar seating for four, a dining room with seating for eight, a formal living room, and a cozy den with a large comfortable sofa. A downstairs bedroom off the den features a queen bed and a twin convertible chair and sits adjacent to the first-floor bathroom. Upstairs, a bright landing with a sitting area opens to three additional bedrooms, including a spacious guest room with two queen beds, a primary bedroom with a king bed and sitting area, and a cozier guest room with two queen beds. A shared bathroom with a clawfoot bathtub with shower serves the upstairs bedrooms. A secretary desk and stool in the upstairs hall offers space for working. Thoughtful touches such as luggage racks, benches, and full-length mirrors throughout the home make settling in easy and comfortable. In addition, Blairbrook is only 15 miles from Charlottesville and the University of Virginia. brbrBuilt in 1910 and originally known as Brookewood Orchard, the Farmhouse at Blairbrook Farm was constructed by Dr. John Brooke Boyle, a Baltimore physician who invested in Crozet's early fruit orchard industry at the turn of the twentieth century. Somewhat unusual for its time, the home was built using wood-framed platform construction with a stucco exterior and features distinctive concrete columns and balustrades on the porches. Many original elements have been carefully preserved and refurbished, including the pine floors, radiators, doors, and Art Nouveau style brass chandeliers. The east and west pergola porches have been thoughtfully rebuilt, honoring the home's historic design while supporting modern comfort. Historic photographs taken by Dr. Boyle's nephew, an amateur photographer, document early orchard operations and are displayed throughout the home, adding depth and story to the experience. brbrBlairbrook Farm is slowly finding new life as a working flower farm, with peony fields located behind the house and remaining traces of the original orchard still visible across the property.
