Wilderness Ridge | Private Cabin w/ Mountain Views

Linden, Virginia, United States

Summary:brbrWilderness Ridge is the perfect private refuge to soak in the stunning views of the Shenandoah Valley while spending time with friends and family. The cabin features a full kitchen, theater room, and propane fireplace. The home’s location lets you tour local vineyards less than five miles away, or visit the famous Apple House for apple cider donuts. As night falls, return home for a BBQ on the deck while the sun sets over the valley and mountains below!brbrAs you step into the cabin, you’ll be greeted by a warm and inviting open-concept living room and kitchen, the perfect space for cozy autumn (or any season) gatherings. Two stories of windows frame breathtaking views of the Shenandoah Valley, where vibrant autumn foliage stretches across the landscape, and on clear days, you can see up to 50 miles of the valley and distant mountains. Whether you’re enjoying a meal together or unwinding by the propane fireplace, the beauty of nature is always within view. The main floor also features a 55” TV, island seating, and a dining table, making it ideal for family movie nights or meals with a view.brbrThe first floor offers two comfortable bedrooms: one with a queen bed and another with twin bunk beds—perfect for younger family members or the young at heart. A full bathroom completes this level, ensuring everyone feels at home.brbrUpstairs in the loft, you’ll find a cozy king bed and a dedicated workspace with a desk, all bathed in the golden glow of autumn sunrises. Although the loft is open to the first floor, we believe the stunning valley views at dawn more than make up for the lack of a door. Another full bathroom on this floor turns the space into a primary suite.brbrHead down to the basement, where the cooler autumn evenings are perfect for a movie marathon in the large theater room or a round of games with family and friends. This level also includes an additional bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room for extra comfort during your stay.brbrFinally, your stay won’t be complete without relaxing under the stars or catching up with friends around a propane fire table on the cabin’s elevated deck.brbrLocated just a short drive from the cabin, Front Royal is the gateway to a range of fall adventures and activities. Savor the crisp, refreshing air with a scenic drive along Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, where the vibrant hues of fall foliage create a mesmerizing backdrop. If you’re in the mood for something active, head to the Appalachian Trail for a refreshing hike with stunning valley views.brbrFor a more relaxed outing, visit Crimson Lane Vineyards or Fox Meadow Winery to enjoy a tasting of local Virginia wines while soaking in panoramic vistas of the surrounding countryside. If you’re traveling with children, a stop at Skyline Caverns for a subterranean tour is a must.brbr PROPERTY GUIDE: Once your booking is confirmed, you'll receive a comprehensive property guide highlighting the area's best wineries, hiking trails, restaurants, and outdoor adventures. It also includes detailed property information and FAQs to help you prepare for and enjoy your stay to the fullest.   brbr PETS: We love hosting your furry companions and welcome up to two dogs. Please include them in your reservation to ensure the pet fee is automatically included in your total. Additional dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to additional fees. Note that emotional support animals (ESAs) are designated as pets and subject to these policies; service animals are always welcome, though we appreciate advance notice to coordinate with our cleaning team. While we love all animals, we are unfortunately unable to host cats at this property.   brbr FAMILY FRIENDLY AMENITIES: For families traveling with little ones, we provide a pack n' play crib, a full-sized freestanding highchair, children's dinnerware, outlet covers, and a variety of toys and games.brbr ACCESS AND DRIVEWAY: The cabin is accessed via well-maintained gravel community roads and a paved driveway. While 2WD is sufficient most of the year, 4WD or AWD is strongly recommended from December through February and may be required during winter weather. The driveway is very steep with several curves (we like to think of it as the trade-off for such spectacular views). While public transportation is not available, ride-share services like Uber and local taxi companies do operate in the area. Please keep in mind that wait times may be longer than in urban areas due to the mountain location.brbr ️ GUEST SAFETY AND WELLNESS: Your safety is our top priority. All bedding, including quilts and blankets, is professionally laundered between every stay. The cabin is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in all bedrooms, along with accessible fire extinguishers.brbr WILDLIFE: Surrounded by nature, you will regularly see deer and may even spot a black bear on the mountain (very rare, but possible)! While we maintain the cabin to the highest standards, the occasional mountain critter may make a visit. Please let us know if anything seems out of the ordinary.

Please make yourself at home!brbrSOME VERY IMPORTANT NOTESbrbrDRIVEWAY: Our driveway is steep and graveled, and can be difficult for small passenger cars to get up especially during wet, snowy, or icy conditions. We recommend using a 4WD vehicle if possible. We are not responsible for you getting up the driveway, and will not provide refunds if you can’t make it up for any reason, including weather. The country is a wonderful place to relax, but it comes with some challenges, too. brbrINTERNET: Our internet connection is slow. We estimate average speeds to be around 5 Mbps. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the calm of the country. We’ll also be your neighbors during your stay. Cedarbank is not a place for parties. Also, because sound travels easily, please no loud conversations after dark and no music outside at any time.brbrCRITTERS: You’ll be surrounded by nature, and with that comes a few friendly (and sometimes furry) visitors! You may spot curious deer, mice, buzzing bees and flies (especially during harvest), or even the occasional bear passing through—it’s all part of the charm of staying in the wild.
