It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!brbrThe home lies directly in the middle of both CB and KB and is a long walk or short drive to downtown and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, restaurants, and local shops of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or party boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island. You can also head down to KB and fish directly off their fishing pier complete with bait, tackles, and more! Modern stainless appliances and a kitchen chocked full of amenities give you access to dine both IN and OUT like royalty. The large family room equipped with an eclectic mix of high-end furnishings, cozy amenities and technology ensures a proper opportunity to recharge from a day of adventuring! The property is a short drive from down town CB with its shops, activities and dining and is equidistant to the smaller, but just as charming down town KB. There are fireworks during the summer every Thursday night and local fairs around the lake each Saturday morning. brbrCB and the surrounding neighborhood offers an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through CB State Park, Fishing on the KB Pier, Kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the ICWW, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This doesn’t even include the aweing scenery of Airlie Gardens, and our very own battleship (USS NC) in Wilmington! Perhaps more relaxing and less “adventure” is your speed. Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be a great time.brbrAnd between the beach and Down Town Wilmington, boy do we have FOOD, Festivals, and good times!brbrGetting aroundbrbrThere isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has a number of vendors (such as Pleasure Island Rentals @ 2 N Lake Park Blvd Carolina Beach NC 28428 (golf carts) and Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 107 Charlotte ave Carolina Beach NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all! brbrAfter all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). This property is an easy 4 minute walk to the beach and close to the Ocean Front Grill and Tiki Bar. Centrally located to all things Carolina Beach: biking, kayaking, fishing charters, hiking at the CB State Park and our famous boardwalks and fishing piers with great restaurants and shopping!brbrOther Things to Note:brWe also supply the following for each property:brA starter kit of one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, a trash bag, and dish soap. We also supply laundered bed linens, comforters, and 1 bathing towel and wash cloth per person. We do not supply any beach gear or beach towel. We have great rental companies on the island we would be more than happy to share the info with you. We also do not supply laundry detergent, body soap or shampoo/conditioner as we find everyone has their own preferences for these =) Please review our house rules prior to your staybrbrbrThere is a Beach re-nourishment done in Carolina and Kure beach every 3 years. This helps to keep our beaches safe from erosion. Please note that we have no control over this project and that it is normally concluded by May, but there is a possibility of delays.
