They have deep roots, and the iron in the soil has rusted over millions of years, coloring everything about the area, and that includes the fixtures of the house and the water. We do try our best to remove the harmless orange stains from anything in contact with water, like the toilet and dishwasher, but the NC character just seems to want to stick. Please also understand that the house is in a rural area and surrounded by trees. Wildlife is everywhere and despite frequent cleaning and maintenance, we cannot guarantee a wildlife free experience. Spiders, stink bugs, ladybugs, and even small creatures are endemic to the area and may make an appearance.
