Unfortunately, the train no longer travels the Saluda Grade but guests enjoy hiking along the old tracks for a day of exploring the quaint little town of Saluda. If you’re the adventurous type, Saluda offers Green River Adventures right downtown as well as The Gorge zip line. Just one mile past the cabin you’ll find Pearson Falls waterfall. It’s a moderate hike and enjoyable for children and “children at heart”. There are many day trip options in the area including the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, DuPont State Forest which has several waterfalls, and the Tryon International Equestrian Center. On the main level there is a ceder walled queen bedroom which was once a horse stall and has now been beautifully remodeled. In the upstairs loft (1000 sq ft), there is another sitting area, double bed, and two twin beds, there is a total of 1600 sq ft. This cabin is located on a gated 2.5 acres which is completely fenced in. The property boasts a small stream, picnic table and fire pit. We do have Internet.brDid I mention that on a clear night you can reach up and almost touch the stars?brbrWe are just a few minutes from the historic town of Saluda, NC.
