Huge Estate w/ 2 homes, fishing pond, private day spa, hot tub, & pizza oven

Marshall, North Carolina, United States

When you round the corner and come onto Blackberry Springs property you’ll suck in your breath and wonder where this grand estate came from!brbrWe are an idyllic property to host retreats (yoga and empowerment groups love us), gather large groups of family and friends, and to host small events (contact us for more details on events). brbrScroll further down to see property layout but first read from the many ideas of things to do to create a truly unforgettable stay.brbrPRIVATE SPA & MEDITATION CENTER:brSlip away from the group to watch the sunrise at what we call Blackberry Springs Forest Spa- our new spa/meditation retreat center. This area sits at a high point above the property with long-range mountain views. Pamper yourself with an onsite massage therapist or team of therapists to pamper the whole group (we will coordinate therapists for you). Sweat out your worries in our shou sugi ban sauna. Recharge your body in the cold plunge. Relax or swim in the 12' swim spa or turn down the temps and let the kids use it like a small pool. Hike through the adjacent forest. You'll want to spend all day every day at Blackberry Springs Forest Spa.brbrPOND PLAY! Race to the end of the dock, jumping into the cool waters of our pond beneath the trees (a ladder is provided so kids can easily jump off the dock and climb back up). At night, revive the art of storytelling as you tell chilling ghost stories around the evening fire while roasting marshmallows from our free S’mores gift baskets; or create two fires at the two different fire pits so the kids have a kid friendly ghost story option. Don’t forget to look up and bask under the blanket of stars so easily seen in the country. If it’s summertime be delighted by the hundreds of fireflies that compete with the stars to light up the night sky. The kids will love running around catching fireflies to watch them light up in jars before they set them free. brbrDINING EVENTS TO REMEMBER! Hosting memorable dinners here is easy plus our guests often bring in private chefs to make it easy and memorable (we have contacts for chefs). The dining table was custom made for the space and seats 12. We also provide a folding table and 8 additional chairs, seating 20 just in the dining room. brbrOFF-SITE ADVENTURES! We appreciated their prompt response in a time-sensitive situation. The cabin had everything we needed, was bright, well decorated without being over the top, the bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was well-appointed, and the heated floors and outdoor firepit were great bonuses. We enjoyed the solitude, the views, and the setting were fantastic, and the hospitality from both our hosts was very inviting. The location of the cabin provided the solitude we were looking for and yet we were able to still enjoy a number of hikes and views and towns, etc. I will definitely come back and will be telling others about this place…..!” -Jeffreybrbrbr“This was the most amazing week. It was relaxing and the views were absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We will definitely be back!”- Jessicabrbr“This is a beautiful place to stay, rewind and relax. The house is fully equipped with everything you need to feel at home.” -SusanbrJust stayed with Dave and Callie up at River Dance and OMG. My wife and I talked about our stay all the way home (3 1/2 hours) and finally decided upon 3 words to describe our getaway.br1. Quaint – We’ve stayed at both of their rentals – River Haven and Sky View. Both rental properties were clean, and beautiful, and embraced what you would expect to find in the mountains of NC. The view from the bed in Sky View is absolutely Amazing ! ! br2. Rejuvenating – When you enter the Bear River Lodge property in many ways the stress and craziness of the world get put on hold. Whether you’re sitting on the deck at River Haven drinking morning coffee, hanging in a hammock, or listening to the sounds of Big Laurel River it’s easy to turn off the hustle and bustle of everyday life.br3. Heavenly – I think this word is the most fitting to describe our stay. The mountains, Appalachian Trail, Max Patch, Big Pillow Brewery, downtown Marshall, and Hot Springs Resort (tub 15) all of which made our stay phenomenal.brRiver Dance will always be our home away from home in the mountains of NC.
