GREAT DEAL on an OCEANFRONT 2-bedroom & 2-bathroom Condo in Rodanthe, NC at the Hatteras High Condos. Hatteras High (HH) is an intimate 12-unit well-maintained condo complex. This first-floor unit (6A) offers a nice ocean view from the private deck off the master bedroom. There is no elevator but there is an electric lift which saves you from carrying luggage and groceries up the stairs. You will have the best of both worlds either watching the sunrise from your in-unit deck on the ocean side or the sunset over the sound from the common area balcony right outside your door. Whichever way you choose it is spectacularly beautiful.brbrThe unit features a full kitchen including an electric range, full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes and glassware and cutlery for 6. The kitchen is equipped for the cook and there are a few outdoor community grills for the barbecue master. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a private full bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds and is located close to the second full bathroom. There is a queen size sleep sofa and a loveseat in the living room. The dining area seats 6 around a large wooden table. There is also a breakfast bar for eating or snacking. The unit has all the necessities for an enjoyable week at the beach with family or friends. There are also 3 washers and 3 dryers in the communal laundry room for use by guests at NO CHARGE.br brThe Outer Banks provide many options for enjoying your vacation. Sandy beaches, surfing, kite boarding, dolphin tours and surf fishing await you on the Atlantic side. The sound side offers jet skiing, sailing, windsurfing, offshore fishing, crabbing, cruising, and kayaking. The Rodanthe Pier for fishing is just a short walk north up the beach or NC-12 from Hatteras High. The beach is also only a short walk from the building on the boardwalk which provides safe and easy walking and access with your beach paraphernalia. When you are tired of the sand, relax by the community pool with a book and your favorite beverage.brbrIf you are inclined to sightsee and explore, there is an abundance of activities available and things to see. Visit the Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, the Elizabethan Gardens and see the outdoor drama, The Lost Colony. If you are a lighthouse fan, visit the famous lighthouses at Cape Hatteras, Currituck, Bodie Island, Ocracoke, and Roanoke Marshes. The historic Chicamacomico Life Saving Station is within walking distance of HH. Take a day trip to Ocracoke Island which includes a free 20-minute ferry ride across the channel from Hatteras Island to Ocracoke Island where the infamous pirate Blackbeard took safe haven. Visit the Wright Brothers National Memorial and Museum where aviation was born by two bicycle riding brothers from Ohio. From spring to autumn, a large variety of wading, shore and upland birds can be viewed. Drive north to Corolla, where you can see the wild horses, take outback tours, and visit the 4-wheeling drive area with 26 miles of beach and dunes for beach off-roading.brbrThe area also offers tennis, golf, spas, bi-plane, and helicopter air tours.
