The entire house is filled with comfortable furniture, local art and vintage pieces to inspire you and make you feel right at home. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 equipped with a double bed and the other a king size bed. The large lofted area acts as a 3rd bedroom and has 3 beds including 2 twin beds and 1 double bed. There are 2 living rooms for you to enjoy, both including a smart tv (even though we don't think you'll need them much while you are here) and a wood burning stove in the front living room to cozy up to during the winter months. The outside is yours to explore as well where there is a fire pit and Adirondack chairs to sit and relax in. We can comfortable sleep 4 guest but can accommodate 5 if a guest would like to sleep on the couch.brbrPlease Note:brLike many mountain cabins, we do not have central air conditioning. However, our large windows allow for gentle mountain breezes and plenty of natural light, creating a fresh and airy feel throughout the cabin. We also provide a ceiling fan in the living room along with rotating fans in each bedroom.brbrFOR SUMMER STAYS, PORTABLE A/C UNITS are installed in the living room and both bedrooms from May 30 through September. Both bedrooms were cozy, bathroom was clean and a great size, and the fireplace was great during the winter. We saw many deer close to the cabin which was a great surprise as well! Easy to get around to blowing rock, Appalachian ski mountain, grandfather mountain, and sugar mountain! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a getaway. Felt secluded, but was close to shopping & dining. Would stay there again! - TimbrbrIt was the perfect getaway for me and my wife. The hideaway was an ideal basecamp to explore the mountains and wonderful communities of Blowing Rock, Boone and Banner Elk. The foliage was spectacular, especially from the peaks of Grandfather mountain and Table Rock. Our favorite restaurant for fine dining was the Beat Cellar in Blowing Rock. Then located in the loft area are two futon chairs that can convert into a single bed. The loft area also provides board games, and additional entertainment.
