In August 2016 we purchased “Our Topsail Escape” which is a 2100 sq. foot duplex located in Queen’s Grant subdivision in Topsail Beach. We choose Queen’s Grant because of what it offers (beach crossovers only 600 feet away to a beach that is never crowded, a pool, private boat ramp and day docks, basketball court, playground and more.).brbrWhen you reach to top floor, there are hardwood floors, an open floor plan with a back wall of windows to enjoy the views, vaulted ceilings, and a fully stocked kitchen (including dishwasher, pots and pans of all different sizes, blender, coffee maker, mixing bowl, cooking utensils, and toaster to name a few items) with lots of cabinets, a new iridescent back-splash which reflects different colors depending on the sun, a granite counter tops, and a large 4-seat bar. We have added a separate refrigerator for beverages so you don’t run out of room in the refrigerator. In the dining area there is a counter height dining room table which seats 8. There is a sitting area with 2 chaise lounge chairs for relaxing. In the living room area there is a couch, a love seat, 2 chairs, and a wall mounted 75 inch 4K SMART TV with sound bar! You can sit and read in the chaise lounge chairs; play many of the available board games; watch available DVDs, Netflix, HBO, to name a few; or even play with the WII. Lastly through the sliding doors there is a deck, which is great to enjoy your morning coffee, eat a meal at the table for 4 or enjoy a beverage, as the views are fantastic.brbrAll the bedrooms are on the second floor. The home features a master suite that includes the master bedroom, a walk out deck overlooking the canal, walk-in closet, and an en suite bath with a double vanity and walk-in shower. The bedroom includes a king size bed and wall mounted 48 inch LED SMART TV. Two other bedrooms provide additional sleeping arrangements. One of these rooms features a queen sized bed, along with amenities such as a walk-in closet and wall mounted 32 inch Smart TV with Ruko. This room also allows for access to the deck overlooking the water. The other room includes a full size bunk bed and a twin trundle bed. This room further includes a wall mounted 32 inch Smart TV with Ruko and a DVD player, along with kid-friendly DVDs. This room is spacious and great for the kids! There is a second bathroom on this floor with a double vanity and a tub/shower combination. On the second floor is also a stacked washer/dryer combination in case you need to do some laundry while you are there.brbrWhen you arrive, you pull into the carport. The carport can hold two to three vehicles and there is additional parking in the front of the community. Behind the shed there is an outside shower with hot and cold water, which is great after a day at the beach. We have also added a clothesline in the carport to hang your stuff up. When you enter the house on the ground floor, there is a large mudroom with a desk great for those who want to work from the beach. The room is large enough to also hold your beach and fishing gear. In this area there is elevator access. The elevator goes to all three floors and is a great asset as you won’t have to carry heavy items, like suitcases, coolers, or groceries, up the stairway.brbrWe get asked often what is there to do at Topsail Beach There are kayak tours, jet ski tours, dinner cruises, fresh seafood markets, restaurants ranging from fast food to gourmet, shopping, family friendly attractions such as mini-golf, and more adult-friendly activities like party boats. The area also includes grocery stores for picking up your vacation staples and religious establishments. The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Center is nearby and if you want something for the kids, look at summer classes at Ecological Marine Adventures. But what if you don’t have your own boat, jet ski, kayak or bikes, you can rent them locally and have it delivered to the house. A short thirty minute drive will bring you to Wilmington and the surrounding areas, where you can investigate sea life at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or explore the WWII battleship, the USS North Carolina. There are new hardwood floors in all the living areas and kitchen and dining areas. A knotty pine ceiling invokes that cozy, warm cottage feel while the colorful, comfortable decor provides a welcoming atmosphere to put your feet up and relax! A glass front of wall to wall windows overlooks the waters of Banks Channel that even on a rare rainy day will lift your spirits! Because of this spectacular view the inside still has the feel of the outside! brbrAll of the living area is located on one floor, with a storage room and washer/dryer under the cottage. All of the main living areas have hardwood floors, with new carpet in the bedrooms. The master bath has a new queen size bed with it's own bathroom with shower. Their are two other bedrooms, one with a new queen bed and the other with sturdy twin bunk beds. The cottage comfortably sleeps 6 (SIX). The hall full bathroom has a tub with shower. There is also a new green foldout sofa (queen) in the back living area. The front living area has two comfy couches and two club chairs with ottomans so lots of seating is available! The dining room table sits 6 and there is a kitchen bar with 4 barstools. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils and cooking items. There is a washer / dryer located in a storage room under the house. An outside shower with hot and cold water provide a perfect addition to your 'I'm at the beach!' experience!brbrTOPSAIL TIME is a well behaved pet friendly rental... out of necessity there is a PET FEE of $150 per week for one pet and $235 for two pets.
