Fifteen years, three kids, and one move to North Carolina later... we discovered Bald Head Island, our new beach favorite!brbrThe beach access is just steps from the home, which means it's easy to traverse with your kids and beach gear in tow. We're adjacent to the Bald Head Island Club so you have a short walk or a one-minute golf cart ride to enjoy all the amenities there, which include multiple pools with splash pads and slides, a playground, golf, tennis, fitness facility, croquet, casual dining poolside at Horizons and fine dining inside the club. Our home is also just minutes to the Maritime Market, Shoals Club, as well as all of the fun activities on the island.brbrLighthouse Point BHI is 2500 sq. ft. with over 800 sq. ft. of covered porches so you can take advantage of the spectacular ocean views and breathtaking sunsets. There is covered parking under the home for the two golf carts (one 4-passenger and one 6-passenger included with the rental) as well as an outdoor shower to clean off after a day at the beach. brbrThe first floor features 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a laundry area, and a kid's lounge with a 65 SmartTV and comfy couch (allowing the adults quiet time upstairs!). Our home sleeps 10, but we have a house rule of a max of 6 adults. The kids' lounge has a large bay window and access to the porch. There are built-ins with toys and games for all ages. The first master has a king-size bed and ocean views. You can access the covered porch from the master and relax in the rocking chairs while listening to the waves! The luxurious attached bath has a large double vanity with quartz countertops and an oversized tiled shower. The second master also has a king bed and attached bath with quartz vanity and tiled shower. Both masters also include 55 SmartTVs. The third bedroom has a queen bed and shares a bathroom with the bunk room. The bunk room has one twin-over-twin and one twin-over-full bunk bed (sleeps 4-5 kiddos).brbrThe second floor is a completely open concept that flows onto a large covered porch with breathtaking ocean views. This is the perfect place for enjoying relaxing dinners! The kitchen includes custom cabinets, stainless steel appliances, a large center island, granite countertops, a farmhouse sink, wine fridge, and walk-in pantry. The dining area has a large table with seating for 8 in addition to seating for 4 at the island. There is a cozy sitting room -- perfect for reading a book or watching the sunsets. The family room has a large sectional, a wall of custom built-ins, and a 65 SmartTV.brbrAll rentals include access to guest memberships at Shoals Club and BHI Club (summer guest memberships are limited at both clubs, so sign up quickly!). Both spacious primary bedroom suites include a king-size bed as well as private screened porch access.
