This is a beautiful, Non-Smoking, log cabin home on an acre of land, situated on a rushing creek with several waterfalls right outside the door. The lot is wooded and sits at about 4200 feet elevation. It feels very private, yet is only five minutes from the main road. brbrThere is a large covered porch running the length of the cabin overlooking the creek, with a six-person hot tub on one end. In the yard is a picnic table and steps down to the creek. The furniture is plush and comfortable, and with a woodburning fireplace and satellite television, there isn't a more cozy place. brbrYou'll be only fifteen minutes from the quaint town of Maggie Valley, where there are several wonderful restaurants and lots of craft and gift shops, as well as gorgeous mountain views. Going the opposite direction takes you into Cherokee in about ten minutes, with gambling casinos and tourist attractions, or you can take a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. In 20 minutes you can be on Main Street in Waynesville, with restaurants and shopping galore. Asheville is just 45 minutes away, and Gatlinburg, Tennessee only an hour or so. brbrBut if you are like us, you won't want to leave the cabin! Everyone falls in love with the place. The primary suite has an ensuite bath and a very comfortable California King bed with Crate and Barrel linens and a variety of sleeping pillows for your comfort. There is also a private sitting area in this suite, perfect for two adults to share some down time, morning coffee, or to use as a quiet work space. I have a small rolling cart perfect to create a work space in any room of the cabin. Tuck away in the master suite until you are ready to emerge and join your guests.brbrThe master shower has a private entrance, and is large enough to accommodate two persons at one time. There are four shower heads and a large vanity sink for ease of use by two persons as well.brbrThere are two additional guest rooms with queen beds, adjoined by a new build bathroom with a tub/shower combination. One bedroom has a vanity/desk area for ease of getting ready, complete with a lighted makeup mirror. (Perfect for Zoom calls!) Lots of closet and storage space, very comfortable linen packages and lighting make each room a great retreat. (Garage is not available for guest use, as it is storing equipment and backstock.)brLarge poured concrete driveway, and our property is right off of the main road to Cataloochee Ski, which is a road always mindfully maintained, so there should never be an accessibility issue to this property. Please be mindful of our bridge as you enter and exit the property. We put up orange snow markers to help guide your way.brOther things to notebrPart of the charm of this cabin is the bridge and water wheel house that cover and are adjacent to the creek and waterfall. Please be mindful when walking around the bridge and creek area. Please be especially mindful when driving onto and off of the property, taking care not to bump into the bridge with your vehicle. We have markers up to help guide your way, and the drive is a level one. Fantastic for sports car enthusiasts or those who do not have AWD or 4WD. If you are unsure the first time driving in, simply park at the mouth of the driveway, step out of your car and get a visual on the bridge. Then continue to drive straight and park straight ahead near the house or garage. Super easy to park and unload and reload, no matter the weather, because of the long covered porch.

Skiing, golf, fishing, hiking and fall foliage are close at hand, as are lots of cute mountain towns and the fabulous city of Asheville. Waynesville is only fifteen minutes away for shopping and groceries, and The Biltmore Estate is just 35 minutes away. Our cabin has two bedrooms and two bathrooms (split bedroom plan) with the master opening up to the deck and creek. We also have a queen sofa bed in the living room. There is a one car garage in the basement for winter shelter, and a huge detached garage that we have converted to a game pavilion with a pool table, foosball, ping-pong, card table and a huge flat screen TV and couch. Just outside the master bedroom is a wonderful brand new hot tub on the deck looking out to the creek, along with a propane grill, rocking chairs and a nice outdoor table. The game pavilion literally doubles the square footage of the cabin and provides plenty of additional activities that you can enjoy without ever leaving the property! brSkiers take note, this is THE PERFECT LOCATION FOR YOU!! Easy year round access and right next to the road going up to skiing. You can’t beat Paradise Found for your winter headquarters too!brOur guests are provided with all paper goods, such as toilet paper and paper towels as well as basic soaps. We also provide firewood. There are no additional fees for approved pets. Garbage pickup is provided at no additional cost. Trailers or large RV’s are NOT permitted due to the lack of maneuvering space on the community roads.
