Just 5 minutes from Yellowstone National Park & Yellowstone Hot Springs! Short stays will be considered if there is only a couple nights available between other bookings for an additional fee. Please message me. Scenic views from every part of this 10 acre property. Little Trail Creek is 10 feet away from the cabin and flows throughout the property. The horse pasture borders the yard space. Elk & deer are on the property most days. 2 room rustic cabin. Main room has a table and chairs , hutch & a wood stove. Second room has two queen beds & cot. Listed base price of for the main cabin. There is also a second shack with a queen bed available for an extra $50 per night for larger groups. There is one outlet & one chandelier in each room. There is a separate building with a brand new modern shower house with shower, sink, vanity, changing area and toilet. It is two feet from the Homestead cabin. It sits directly across the road from the Yellowstone River. This cabin is not for city dwellers. It is a, “Glamping” experience. If you do not like camping, you will not like the Homestead ! It’s similar to camping but in a 1900’s building and everything needed, provided! It is the perfect place to unplug, recharge and reconnect. If you are afraid of natures critters, please see the listings for our other cabins- the Sage, Lookout or Aspen cabins. There is a possibility of field mice or bugs wandering into the cabin. Please store all food in the root cellar & large cooler provided. It is over by the outdoor kitchen set up with electric burner, microwave & toaster oven. There is a padlock on the door. We are trying to preserve the cabin as much as possible. It is approx 150 yards from the highway but feels like much further away. The sound of Little Trail Creek that is 20 feet from the cabin drowns out a lot of road noice. There is also a 15 ft tall fence to block off the road. Let the kids pan for gold and play in the creek or pond. Open campfire site for cooking. BBQ grill. Pots, pans, plates, utensils, lanterns, candles, bedding and towels all provided! Hike as much as you want, right from the back yard into the Absaroka Wilderness. It is hundreds of thousands of acres of public lands to explore. The beds are super comfy with a wide array of pillows choices. There are tons of things to do including fire pits, ax throwing, corn hole, trampoline, horseshoes and more. There’s even a toy shack out back! Follow the trail up Little Trail Creek. We are just 4 miles or 5 minutes to the little town of Gardiner, Montana. 4 miles from Historic Roosevelt Arch - North Entrance to Yellowstone. 45 mins to Livingston, Montana. 58 miles to Bozeman International Airport. *Let us know when making a reservation if you would like to add the additional shack with a queen bed for $50 night.

We invite you to stay in our barn loft and call it your home, while you relax and enjoy our nation's largest and oldest National Park.brbr Barn on the Banks is located just above the Yellowstone river in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of Gardiner, Montana. We are less than 1 mile to the park's North Gate Entrance, famous for the Teddy Roosevelt Arch, and within walking distance to down town shops, restaurants, a grocery store, post office and excellent trout fishing. brbr Yellowstone river runs through this small town that is nestled at the foothills of Electric Peak, a majestic mountain that carries snow throughout most of the year. We are located at the end of a lane with no through traffic. Our loft overlooks the confluence of the Gardiner and Yellowstone rivers, and has unobstructed spectacular views of the mountains. We border the river and we are directly across from Yellowstone Park. brbr A short walk down the bank takes you to the river's edge where you can sit and enjoy nature, including frequent fliers of ducks, geese, bald eagles, and osprey, or possibly see a family of otters playing in the water.brbr From our deck you can view hummingbirds, mountain songbirds, and wildlife including deer, elk, Big Horn sheep, Pronghorn (antelope), or possibly see a bear, wolf, coyote, or bison.br br One summer while sitting on the deck of the barn, my husband witnessed a doe deer giving birth to twin fawns. We frequently saw mama deer and her little ones close to our house and barn throughout the summer. Now we've seen yet another 'Near Barn Birth'! Over Memorial Weekend, we and our guests witnessed an Elk giving birth just a few feet below the deck of the Barn! This is truly an area you'll be able to experience nature. brbr br The barn has never housed animals, the bottom of the barn is used for private storage. The barn loft was renovated in 2008-2009, and features a full kitchen with all new appliances, comfortable seating in the living area, and a large deck that looks into Yellowstone Park. You can sit by the fire on a chilly night, or cool down with air conditioning on a hot summer day. brbrThere are amazing views from all areas of the loft made easy by several large windows. brThe master bedroom has a king bed, private bath, air conditioning, a fireplace and your own private balcony to sit, relax and enjoy the sunset. brbrThe cozy 'Queen Room' catches the morning sun, and has the ambiance of a fireplace as well. brThe 3rd and middle bedroom' has one full sized double bed and one twin bed. brThe sofa in the living room converts to a full size bed. brbrThe deck which overlooks Yellowstone Park and the river, features outdoor tables and chairs as well as additional seating and a gas grill under the deck.
