Stayed Jun 9, 2024We would have liked to use the AC since it was unusually warm the days we were there. The owner never communicated that the AC wasn’t working. Sleeping on the second floor required opening the windows. As we were packing up to leave a crew of repair men arrived ready to do substantial work on it so I suppose the next renter would have a better stay. BTW, there were four trash cans. All were full when we arrived and were overflowing for two of three days. Sorry I couldn’t rave about the whole stay. The porch over the river was wonderful. The parking was in a tight alley with junk from the businesses on the opposite side strewn along most of the alley. That was a little disappointing.

Stayed Mar 19, 2026We had a great time, a very relaxing and quiet stay. The narrow spiral staircase was a bit of a challenge while carrying luggage upstairs, but other than that, the place was wonderful. Our goal was to visit YNP and soak in the hot springs in Gardiner, both of which were easy to do staying here. Liza was a perfect host and very prompt with responding to my questions. This place had everything we could have needed!

Stayed Dec 28, 2025The host communicating skills were up and down. The amenities were not in great shape missing light bulbs, broken drawers on dressers, a broken window, but a great location to visit Yellowstone

Stayed Oct 17, 2025Property is located next to some other questionable properties, cars and apartments missing windows, etc. Property owner was unresponsive for basic questions after we checked in. Window in the loft is broken/shattered with a sign on it. Several parts of the property were dirty. Definitely not worth the price. Very limited hot water.

Stayed Oct 14, 2025This was a good property, conveniently located, well furnished, clean, and well-serviced.Parking could be a real problem, though thankfully our stay was off-season and we found secure parking close by.

Stayed Sep 22, 2025Enjoyed our stay, place was very clean and nice. Only issues we had was going up the spiral staircase with our suitcases. The other couple we traveled with could not have gotten up there due to some mobility restrictions. Also the parking was so limited. Host was very easy to communicate with.

Stayed Aug 20, 2025Can’t beat the location, walking distance to everything in town, beautiful vista of mountains and river off the back deck, and 2 min to North Entrance of YNP. Parking is a little tight but manageable, and as others have mentioned the staircase upstairs is very narrow and difficult to navigate - there is no getting a large suitcase upstairs.

Stayed Aug 1, 2025Great location in Gardiner. But found droppings in silverware and utensils drawer so we washed everything the whole time. Rest of the place was really clean so... parking is a major challenge, which they acknowledge. Upstairs bed was apparently really comfy. Downstairs one squeaked. Deck is great overlooking river.

Stayed Jul 9, 2025Home was exactly as it was listed. It is not a huge house, but it had tons of sleeping areas. My kids loved spreading out and picking fun places to sleep. It has 4 wall unit air conditioners that do a good job keeping it cool. When we arrived they were not turned on so it took most of that evening to get it to a comfortable sleeping temperature, but after that we were able to maintain a good temp. It was cool enough to open windows in the late evening/morning. We wish there was a screen on the sliding door though to enjoy the breeze some more. We enjoyed the view from the deck to the Yellowstone River and seeing the rafters going by. It is a convenient location within minutes of the North Gate entrance. It is situated pretty close to the neighbors on each side and the parking in front is an alleyway behind some businesses. The parking was a little tight, but not too bad. We were told about this in advance so it wasn't a surprise, but it is hard to get a feel of it from the pictures alone. We had a great, quiet stay. It was clean and had what we needed. The only slight inconvenience was that you can only use the laundry from 4:00-9:00pm because it is a shared facility (attached to this rental but you go outside). It wasn't a huge problem, but we were usually still in the park at that time so I had to plan a day around doing laundry. There were multiple high-capacity, commercial washers and dryers though, so I was able to get it all done quickly. Thank you for a nice stay!

Stayed Jul 16, 2025Great place to stay!! We really enjoyed Gardiner and the easier access to Lamar Valley in the early dawn hours. Everything was as described. We split our family stay for Yellowstone between Gardiner and West Yellowstone and are glad we did. Different and beneficial experiences from each area.

Stayed Jun 23, 2025We were just at this vrbo on Yellowstone River June 23-27. We really enjoyed the deck and the sunset was beautiful!! Nice bathrooms for our group and the grandkids really liked the little sleeping areas upstairs. Walking downtown Gardiner was literally one block and fun places to shop and eat. Entrance to Yellowstone is literally two minutes away. Great stay for the price.Photo is view from our deck. Thankyou!!

Stayed Sep 21, 2024Grizzly den was a very unique cabin. There were total of 7 adults ranging from the age of 47 to 77. The stairs are very hard to maneuver and to get luggage up there is very difficult. The place sleeps 10, however really only 4 adults privately. The loft and side room is really only made for children and are mattresses on the floor with very little head room. We did not use pull out couch because didn't want to crowd the common area. The 2 double beds are very high but provide step stools to get in. Mattresses are pretty firm. All this being said, the cabin was very well supplied and we made it work for our 3 night stay. Clean and place is short little walk to town. Parking very tight. We enjoyed our stay and the magnificent views. Don't really recommend for this place for such a large group of older adult couples, but for family with kids would be perfect! Saw elk in nearby town of Mammoth. Yellowstone is gorgeous! Host was very accommodating!

Stayed Sep 12, 2024We stayed at this adorable VRBO in Gardiner for the second half of our Yellowstone trip, and it was a great experience! The property has so much character, with unique loft and nook beds that make it feel cozy and fun—definitely a place kids would love. The views from the house are absolutely breathtaking, and the location couldn’t be better. It’s within walking distance to charming shops and restaurants, making it super convenient after a day exploring the park. While the beds could have been a bit more comfortable, for the price and unbeatable location, this place is a fantastic option. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for anyone looking for a charming, budget-friendly home base near Yellowstone!

Stayed Aug 24, 2024This lovely home is conveniently located right outside the gate and yet amongst the shops and restaurants within Gardiner. It was quiet and peaceful with comforts f home. Bone bedroom downstairs and a very tight circular staircase for the other sleeping areas. But my adult kids had no issues navigating them Great back porch with beautiful Mountain View’s! We would definitely choose this property again!

Stayed Aug 9, 2024My family of five stayed here for three nights in August while visiting Yellowstone. I had definitely wanted to stay in Gardiner because I had heard such positive things about the town. This home was literally a five minute walk to many restaurants and the Roosevelt entrance of the park. There is also a grocery store that we walked to. We loved the back porch and sat outside listening to the river. The back porch is connected to the back porch of another cabin, but those guests stayed on their side and we stayed on ours and it wasn’t a problem. I had read reviews that the staircase inside was tight, and it was, but it wasn’t a problem for our tall family. We did have to leave our luggage on the main floor because it would not fit going up the staircase, but that wasn’t a big deal. The host had everything ready for us and was easy to communicate with. I had also read that the parking was tight, but we had a large Ford Expedition and just parked parallel to the house as close as we could and we had no problems. And the drive from Yellowstone to Gardiner is really pretty and we enjoyed driving through Mammoth and seeing the elk walking around on our way back-and-forth. I had read how the entrance to West Yellowstone was always crowded with people coming and going, but I never felt like that driving back-and-forth to Gardiner. We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again!
