My place is close to Uptown Butte and is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). We are located about a 25 minute walk from Main Street in uptown Butte and a 5 minute walk from the Uptown walking trail and Montana TechbrThe spacebrWe have a great yard with hot tub, a fire pit, BBQ and sand pit available for guests to use. We are also located in a quiet neighborhood but close to uptown Butte where there are several festivals throughout the year.brbrThere is only one room with a queen size bed, but there is a cot available for use as well as a double sized pull out couch available to use in the living room.brbrbrI do allow pets on occasion, and I do require a $300 pet deposit. this deposit is refundable if the space is left clean, no damage is done by pets, and the pet was picked up after in the yard. We do have chickens, so we like to know ahead of time if a pet is arriving so we can put our chickens safely away.brGuest accessbrGuests will have access to a hottub and sandpit with fire pit in the middle, and a BBQ.

There is always street parking in front of of the apartment and besides the street traffic, the neighborhood is quiet.brGuest accessbrThere's is a small backyard and balcony guests may use.brOther things to notebrThe apartment is upstairs and there are several stairs guests must climb to get to apartment. It is not ideal for guests challenged with climbing stairs.

There are some stairs to get down into the apartment, in scse stairs may be difficult for some individuals.

A raised area all along the south windows would be the instant focus for entertaining and also an endless source of inspiration as a sitting room or even a home office.brThe spacebrOriginally built to house the “manual arts” department at Butte High School, the building lost its purpose when the high school moved in 1938. (The main old high school building burned to the ground in 1946.) During World War II the Manual Arts Building served as a military induction center, and later would house the Butte Business College. Then, for years, the nearby Masonic Temple used it for its youth programs, DeMolay and Rainbow Girls.brbrBecause of the building’s original construction as a school facility, the stairways are immense, more than eight feet wide. Everywhere, the light streams in — more and more as you go to the upper floors. Pets are welcome, but we do charge an extra $50 cleaning fee to make sure the space is usable for guests that might have pet allergies. brGuest accessbrPlease note the loft is on the 4th floor of this building and requires some significant climbing up the large sets of stairs. If you or anyone in your party are not comfortable with this set up, our place might not be the best for you. Access into the building is a set code that will be given out the day of your arrival. There is another door (that will have the same code) to enter the loft space.

Cabin Fever Village has four modern, but simple, cabins - each sleeping four persons. Adjacent to the cabins is a modern showerhouse, activity pavilion and kitchenette. The camp is conveniently located and accessible by paved road. brbrThe real draw to the camp are not the accommodations, but the opportunities to experience the outdoors and the many adventures associated with the outdoors. The property is 70 acres, surrounded by National Forest. There are trails throughout the camp, well marked with a map provided. Newly installed informational panels throughout the camp explain the various historic features, the geology, the ecosystems, and the floral and fauna found on the property. Wildlife sightings are normal, with deer, elk, and moose frequenting the camp seasonally. There are numerous off-trail hiking opportunities in the surrounding National forest service. brbrThere are multiple historic features and buildings located throughout the property. Several of these are described on informational panels. Half a mile upstream from the camp, reached via an established trail, is the historic Stimac Homestead, now belonging to the USFS. The informational panel for this architecturally interesting attraction explains the history of the homestead, the Stimac family, and how they grew vegetables for sale in the local markets. brbrAdjacent to the camp is an extensive system of USFS trails. Trails allow both motorized and non-motorized use. brbrButte and the surrounding area is a virtual Mecca of hiking and mountain biking trails of all types. There are the easier trails in the developed Thompson Park trail system, there is the Continental Divide Trail (CDT). Within 15 miles of Castle Rock, there are two groomed cross-country ski areas. The Homestake area is developed for ATV’s. In Butte, there are cultural attractions such as the Mother Lode Theater, the Clark Mansion, the _____ and the uptown historic district. There is the World Mining Museum and the Mineral Museum.
