A steeper trail down the hill takes you to the river where there is a large beach area and some fantastic fishing holes. brThe amenities of the home consist of a fully equipped kitchen stocked with the basics, fireplace, WIFI , gas BBQ, firepit (firewood provided) outdoor table and lawn chairs. If you're looking for a getaway from the crowds, a convenient place to explore Glacier National Park and a beautiful place to stay, look no further.brWe are 24 miles from the West Glacier Park Entrance and 35 miles from the East Glacier Park entrance. It's located between East and West Glacier cabin is 1282 sq ft. Essex town has a very small community. You Can Hear The TRAINS passing by and watch them from the fire pit. Please don't not book if you are a light sleeper. There are some hiking trails to the Great Bear Wilderness and also Glacier National Park. We do have a combination of hiking trail, cross country skiing and snowshoeing maps both in Glacier also near house for your planning. If you need any help please message me. I love hiking.brThe Walton Ranger Station which is an entrance to the Glacier Park for day hikes and back country trips is 7 minute drive from the house. Stanton lake trailhead (in the wilderness) which is one of my favorites is 5 minute drive. Stanton creek which you can drive to is a nice area for a picnic too. brThe house has Starlink fast internet. It has smart TV no satellite and DVD player(of course some DVDs too). Two bedrooms have queen beds and the master bedroom has king bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, coffee maker, dishes and cookware. brThe property features exterior security cameras. They don't look into interior spaces. The cameras record video when activated by motion.brIt has a BBQ Grill on the porch. After enjoying your visit to the park make sure you enjoy the fire pit too, which is located in the back of the house ( firewood on us). It is close to train tracks. Please expect that you are gonna hear trains during your stay.You can watch the trains pass by too. The trailhead is 5 minute drive from the house. Stanton creek is a nice spot for picnics too. br Our house has all the amenities completely furnished with linens, towels and dishes. There is a TV and a DVD player with a selection of DVD'S. There is no satellite TV. There are some games and puzzles and a pool table. There are some hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing trail maps available and some activities you can do inside and around the park. brThe house features exterior security cameras. The cameras don't look into interior spaces. The property is a 20-minute walk from the station. br4. There is NO cell phone service. If your phone supports Wi-Fi calling, you likely will be able to receive text messages when connected to Wi-Fi; check with your carrier. A house phone is available for emergency use only. Long-distance calls made during your stay will be billed accordingly.br5. There is strong Wi-Fi throughout the home to support web browsing and email. The backbone has been upgraded to Starlink Satellite Internet which provides sufficient bandwidth for streaming but is not guaranteed.
