Sun, Wind, Creek Vintage Camper

Whitehall, Montana, United States

Quaint, charming, vintage Layton RV is comfy cozy, with the original character of the pull-behind vacation home on wheels from long ago. Included: a king-size bed, table, kitchen with gas cooktop/oven, microwave, refrigerator.brThe campsite is located just above a beautiful running creek. Roast hot dogs, view expansive, star studded sky. Hike our 100 acres of foot hills across the road. Town is 8 miles away. brRest, Hike and Big Sky, Creek await you.brThis is nothing a hotel can offer.brbrThis quaint, charming, vintage Layton RV is comfy cozy, with the original character of the pull-behind vacation home on wheels your grandparents enjoyed! It includes a king-size bed, dining table, kitchen with cooktop and oven, microwave and ample refrigerator space.brbrThe campsite and travel trailer is located just above a small but beautiful running creek. The site has stunning views of the Highland Mountains. The mountains, the sky, and our 100 acres of interesting hiking right across the road makes it a unique property. Located on MT Hwy 2, it is quiet but convenient to the town of Whitehall, 8 miles away, where there is a grocery, an old time breakfast diner (K-Bar) and also for lunch or dinner great Montana burgers, sandwiches, salads, homemade buns, chips, and salad dressings, and full steak dinners at a rustic saloon (Two-Bit Saloon). If you want fresh pizza, with regular and gluten-free crust options, Whitehall has that too. Up the road a half hour are two great higher end restaurants, famous La Hood and Three Forks Brewery.brbrWHAT TO EXPECTbrSit by the creek, hike to the top of a butte, feel the wind, get great views of the valley and mountain surrounds, or gather your own firewood and sit by a campfire, roast hot dogs and enjoy the flames! Lie back and gaze at the amazing array stars at night. Bask in the quiet and take in that authentic Big Sky experience. This is nothing a hotel in driving distance can offer. brbrAMENITIESbrThis camping trailer has been lovingly uplifted to include hot water for quick showers, and an incinerating toilet that is easy to use, with no odor. We use fragrance-free laundry detergent for bed and bath linens and usually dry them in the sun and wind. brStarlink internet service is available if you want to stream or work at the campsite. But who needs the internet There are books to read and board games games to play. You get to do something different. Rest, dream, start a journal, star gaze. Cook hotdogs on a campfire, walk in the cold creek. Build rock cairns on the edge of the creek. Race little leaf and twig barges in the rapids of the creek and see how far they go before they fall apart!brbrLIMITED HOT WATERbrPlease note that because this is a vintage camper, some of the amenities are limited. The hot water in the camper will last about 5.5 minutes before it runs out. This is enough for an enjoyable shower (but isn't going to be luxurious or lavish, in wish case you probably shouldn't book a camper). The water tank then takes about 30 minutes to reheat.brbrGuests will have privacy and private access to the creek about a minute walk down from the campsite. Bring a rod and reel and you are welcome to snag brook trout for dinner if you can! Many other public fishing spots on the Jefferson river are available within a half hour drive. Other hiking and local sightseeing in Butte and the surrounding mountains.brbrLots of peace here so it’s not the place for parties or loud music. It’s a place to listen to yourself and your friend, spouse, or partner and to take time to really talk. If you need help with that the owners are individual or couple’s coaches with ridiculously low rates and forty years of experience. And then, there is simply the gorgeous geography to help you restore grounding and find your priorities so you can return home with insight and perspective.brbrNote that the owners live in a house nearby and can help in emergencies; otherwise all requests should go through the app and our manager can assist you.brbrPets are allowed with a $10 pet fee

Off-grid farm stay with million-dollar mountain views!

Whitehall, Montana, United States

Our off-grid Family Apartment utilizes all three of our guest rooms, kitchen, private bathroom, and living space located in the private downstairs apartment of our formerly Amish Farmhouse. (We live upstairs in separate quarters.) Unplug and enjoy a taste of the Amish life - without leaving your conveniences like lights, electricity, Wifi, and hot water (without having to boil it yourself like we did when we first arrived). We don't have a TV, but we do provide some board games. Renova Hot Springs is just a mere 6 miles away if you want to enjoy a rustic experience beside the Jefferson river. We maintain redundant High-Speed Internet with download speeds averaging 100 Mbps so you can stay connected. We are also conveniently located near Copper K Barn and historic Twin Bridges Round Barn.brbrWe are an active farm, so do not expect the Ritz or any fancy gardens. We do have free-range poultry, so do expect some animal droppings on the property. Experience the stars as you've never seen them before. Our views are unbeatable and your experience with us will be memorable. Bring your binoculars - you never know when you might get a glimpse of the majestic Montana wildlife! Meet the farm animals or watch for bald eagles and deer and even possibly meet our resident moose family. We are surrounded by National Forest and untamed rivers that make us the perfect location for your next adventure.brbrYou may also experience animal and/or equipment noise during your stay. You may experience our family doing chores/farm projects that sometimes happen late at night or early in the morning. We do our best to respect your privacy and rest, but sometimes noise, equipment, and lights are unavoidable.brbrGuest access:brFront door entrance is shared with us the hosts but once you get down the stairs the apartment has it's own private entrance. We are located in the country so be aware that most restaurants and urban attractions will be 20-45 minutes away. The road getting to the property is partial pavement and partial gravel. Our gravel driveway is 1/2 mile long. We enjoy the stars so we do not have security lights in the parking areas. There is parking available next to the house for up to 4 vehicles. Please notify us if you plan to bring more than 4 vehicles so we can discuss parking options.brbrATTENTION SERVICE ANIMAL OWNERS: Although the service animal industry holds a special place in our hearts and we have even specifically bred service dogs for Puppies for Patriots in the past, we want you to know that our farm is not a safe retreat for your valuable animal. We have working livestock guardian dogs who's job it is to deter any strange animals from being here for the protection of our menagerie of farm animals. Our guardians are very friendly towards people but your animal would be viewed as a hostile intruder. For the safety of your animal, please don't book our farm stay if they must be with you. We are truly sorry for this inconvenience but we want the very best for your animal as well as ours. Thank you for understanding.
