Stayed Oct 1, 2025This property is a great option if visiting Yellowstone, but it also provides easy access to the Yellowstone River and Gallatian National Forest. We had no issues putting the address into Google maps and finding it. The property was clean and homey, with great views. Having the bathroom downstairs from the bedrooms does make getting ready a little inconvenient, but we just ultimately moved all our clothes downstairs. Overall great stay and will choose this property again when returning to Yellowstone.

Stayed May 25, 2025My daughter, her dog and myself had a wonderful stay that was really too short. House was clean, beds comfortable and the property very well maintained. Communication with the hosts was easy, they respond quickly. Sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee and taking in the views was a real treat. The dog loved the yard. We kept him in our sights outside but had no problems. My daughter loved walking him on the road. The ride to Yellowstone’s north entrance is a quick trip down 89 through town. You can gas up your car on the way to the park and shop for food in town. And yes, you really need 4WD or AWD for the gravel/dirt road that the house is on, and know when to use low gear. We had a little rain one day and the road was fine. Heard elk and coyote and saw a pair of eagles when we were leaving. Would love to stay here again.

Stayed May 12, 2025It is an old house with some new updates. It was quiet and my dog really loved the fenced in yard. I was cautious however because of rattlesnakes in the area. The beds were comfortable. The shower really needs an update. The stairs were ok for us to go up and down given the curve of the stairs. The only issue we had were the number of spiders in the home. At least 3-4 per day between the kitchen and bathroom. Drive time to Gardiner was approximately 15-20 minutes. The road to the home can be very rough and muddy. Make sure you have a 4 wheel or AWD car.

Stayed Oct 10, 2024You can’t beat the views and solitude this house offers. Sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee watching the rabbits and chipmunks scamper in the yard - perfection. Great access to Gardiner and the north entrance to Yellowstone. We even took a drive over to Idaho and did some exploring. For sure you should have a 4wheel or all wheel drive vehicle- the road to the property is winding and has some steep spots. Kitchen was well stocked and the house was cozy. We would for sure stay here again!

Stayed Sep 15, 2024Great cabin. Great location. Except for the road being a little rough getting to the cabin, everything else is wonderful. Very well appointed cabin, has everything you need. Very peaceful location. Great for families. Great for dogs. I walked my dog for miles on the road every day. Our family vacation was fantastic.

Stayed Aug 15, 2024Very comfortable. The outside lighting was very nice. Loved the fenced yard but I would have cleared inside the fence and had grass all around to help Deter the rattlesnakes. And the road was challenging coming and going. Bushes could stand to be trimmed at the road and driveway so you can see oncoming vehicles.. other then tath it’s a very nice and quiet place. And we enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the rafters on the river.

Stayed Jun 26, 2024This is our 3rd time here and it never fails to impress. 1st of all the drive along the Old Yellowstone road is getting rough but I believe that is being addressed. You will need a good ground clearance vehicle. But, it's comfortable, has good zircon, great Wifi, beautiful views. Loads of Elk, Deer and I think we saw a bear! but it was fleeting. Easy 20min access to Yellowstone Park, 15 mins from Gardiner and lovely walks (take the Bear Spray) This is such a great place. (if they added a hot tub we'd probably never leave) It's going to be a while before we can come back but it's already in the planning.

Stayed May 25, 2024The owners are amazing and responsive, and have this cabin well stocked! It has a beautiful view and is quite secluded. If you book this be prepared to drive about 15 minutes on a narrow, quite bumpy road leading to the cabin. There are many blind corners and is quite dangerous, especially after a rain and when approaching other vehicles around these blind corners. If you rarely want to leave the cabin, this fact is not a huge issue. For those of us who do leave and return, you must add an extra half hour for each trip going on this dangerous road. Also, the steps to the second floor are quite steep and twisted and one has to be extremely careful, holding the rail every time going to the bedrooms. I feel these two details should have been added into the description. Otherwise it was a great experience!
