The Ultimate Montana Wilderness Experience with Upscale Comfort

Polebridge, Montana, United States

Take advantage of winter and book for cross country skiing and snowmobiling and snowshoeing right outside your door. Perfect for one, two or maximum of three couples.brIn the summer take the pass less climbed in the Whitefish Divide with hard to beat views and no selfie-sticks in sight. There are numerous hikes in the area with no competition for parking or trail space and the North Fork of the Flathead River is accessible 6 miles away at the U.S.- Canada Border if the day's heat calls for a cool down. Glacier National Park is located near-by but access is not ideal with the rough road and 20 mile drive. The area boasts as much if not more wildlife than the park ranging from moose, wolves, bears, and mountain lions to loons, eagles, elk, mule deer, and fox. Biking, hiking, fishing, floating, and driving the backroads up picturesque passes are just a few of the things to do in the area right outside our doorstep. Traveling in numbers is highly recommended and always have bear spray on hand (1-2 per person). brbrWe are located on 50 acres, surrounded by Forest Service land (USFS) (Flathead National Forest) on two sides, and large acreages on the other two sides. We are in the Trail Creek area, which is an historic area in the North Fork, and often less traveled. brWe also have 68 acres next to Trail Creek for sunning and sitting and listening) to the amazing sounds of Trail Creek only 3 miles away from this property! In the winter perfect of added snowshoeing or skiing.brbrWe welcome you to the absolute privacy of our cozy and warm home in the mountains. It is in excellent condition and has upscale construction with attention to detail. Grand windows are present throughout the house displaying light on the dark grooved flooring and cabinets. It is an open concept with an entryway and a living room with one wood stove and one propane stove, dining room, and kitchen that all share a space downstairs. A 3/4 bath, a laundry/utility/storage room, and bedroom with another Propane fireplace fill the other half of the downstairs area and a garage/game room. The upstairs holds the en suite master bedroom with a double sink vanity and storage, a reading nook, pool table, hangout area around a wood stove, and a place for eating or sitting and talking. There are two decks upstairs and two covered decks downstairs with an outdoor firepit and picnic table. The view's frame the Whitefish divide to the west and Glacier National Park to the east. So bring your reading, bring your arts and crafts, games, cameras, and outdoor gear for summer and winter sports and enjoy your work or relaxation inside or outside the home with Starlink Wi-Fi.br

Reservations will be required from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. As in previous years, visitors may enter reservation areas without a reservation before or after reservation hours.brNew in 2025, the park will be piloting timed entry reservations for the west side of Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork. Visitors will enter the park according to the time block they have reserved and can remain in the park for as long as they like on the day of their reservation. Visitors who miss their reserved time block can enter after 3 p.m. Multiple time blocks will be available between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Additional information regarding time blocks will be announced in a separate press release.br“In 2025 we are continuing successful measures from the 2024 season, including access to Apgar Village, Two Medicine, and the East Entrance to Going-to-the-Sun Road outside of the vehicle reservation system. Within that successful framework we are going to try timed entry to see if we can minimize congestion, optimize visitor arrival, and improve visitor experiences,” said Glacier National Park Superintendent Dave Roemer. “Timed entry has proven to be a valuable tool in other popular national parks and should reduce congestion and wait times at the West Entrance to Going-to-the-Sun Road.”brWest EntrancebrOne timed entry reservation per vehicle will be required to travel Going-to-the-Sun Road beyond the Apgar Village area from June 13 through September 28, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors can enter before 7 a.m. or after 3 p.m. without a vehicle reservation. A reservation is not required to access the community of Polebridge which is located outside the park entrance.brTwo Medicine Valley and St. MarybrAs in 2024, vehicle reservations will not be required to enter Two Medicine Valley or the St. Mary entrance to Going-to-the-Sun Road in 2025. Entry may be temporarily restricted at certain times of day (typically between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.) when areas become too congested. Visitors with service reservations (e.g., boat tours, lodging, horseback ride, guided hikes) in these areas will be permitted entry during temporary restrictions.brMany Glacier ValleybrAs the park has previously announced, the Swiftcurrent area of Many Glacier Valley will be closed to public access during the summer of 2025 due to ongoing construction. More information about 2025 visitor access options will be announced in a separate news release.brVehicle reservations and entrance passesbrVehicle reservations will only be available on Recreation.gov, the Recreation.gov mobile app, or through the Recreation.gov Call Center (Reservation Line: 877-444-6777). These passes could include any of the following: a $35 vehicle pass, good for seven days; a valid Interagency Annual/Lifetime Pass; or a Glacier National Park Annual Pass. A vehicle reservation does not include an entrance pass, and the park entrance pass does not serve as a vehicle reservation.brPursuant to the American Indian Religious Freedom Act of 1978, vehicle reservations are not required for tribal members throughout the park.brbrVisitors are encouraged to check the park website frequently for updates and additional information.brbrThere are no services north of Columbia Falls, get your supplies and ice there before you head up.brWe have have maps and guide books and information on our favourite hikes.
