There are countless activities right outside your door including hiking, 4 wheeling, fishing, sight seeing, wildlife watching, skiing, snowmobiling only to name a few. This cabin is a duplex and the Fox Den is the LOWER unit.brbrThis unit is a 1 bedroom with a kitchenette that has a small fridge, two-burner stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster oven. There is a small dining table and a bunk bed in the main room. The bunk bed is a twin bed over a double bed. The bedroom has a queen bed. The cabin is the downstairs unit (half basement) and has lots of windows and natural light. There is a washer and dryer in the bathroom.brbrThe UPSTAIRS unit is also a vacation rental called the Eagle's Nest Cabin.brbrGuests will have access to the entire space. Guests must go down stairs to access the cabin.brbrPlease feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns about roads and the conditions.brbrThere is no cell service in Cooke City. This cabin includes a main room with kitchen, dining table, sitting chair and futon couch/bed. The bedroom has a king bed and great views too. There is one bathroom with a shower.brThis cabin is the upstairs unit. We also rent the downstairs unit as a vacation rental and it is called the Fox's Den Cabin.brWe are new owners and we are working on several upgrades. We will post updates as soon as we can! We suggest shopping for items you’ll need in Cody,brGardiner, or Red Lodge. The local General Store and gas statiosn will have last-minutebritems you may need and are fun to visit.brbrFor those seeking a true escape into nature, Cooke City offers tranquility and adventurebrin equal measures. The surrounding wilderness is ideal for hiking, wildlife viewing, andbrstargazing far from urban lights. Drive east, and you're on the Beartooth Highway, described by former CBS correspondent Charles Kuralt as 'the most beautiful drive in America. If you survive the drive and continue to the other side of the Beartooth Pass, you can enjoy the quaint, historic town of Red Lodge, Montana. You can also day trip over the spectacular Chief Joseph Scenic Highway to Cody, Wyoming, and visit the Buffalo Bill Museum while enjoying Western hospitality.brbrEndless activities await. It has five entrances, and Cooke City is at its Northeast Entrance. The road to Cooke City from Gardiner, Montana, through the park is open year-round. The road from Cooke City east to Red Lodge and Cody is closed to vehicles (open to snowmobiles) during the winter. Cooke City currently has no cellular phone service.
