EMIGRANT LODGE - 4 bedroom home with central airconditioning

Emigrant, Montana, United States

This four bedroom, two bath vacation rental home is located off of U.S. Highway 89 in the scenic Paradise Valley area of southwest Montana. The home has central air conditioning. This home, with its breathtaking views, makes this an ideal Montana vacation retreat. A short scenic drive leads to Yellowstone National Park. Fly fishing enthusiasts, hikers, horseback enthusiasts and anyone who loves the outdoors will enjoy their stay in this area of Big Sky Country.brbrThis home is a NON SMOKING home and does NOT accommodate PETS.brbrBenefits/Strengths of Emigrant Lodge:brbr1. THE VIEW. We believe that the view is breathtaking. We have seen the property in the early Spring and late Fall. The pictures speak for themselves. The amazing views can be had from the deck, the screen porch, the 3 bedrooms which face Paradise Valley, and the living room.brbr2. THE LOCATION. The home is approximately 30 minutes from Roosevelt Arch/Yellowstone National Park, approximately 15 minutes from Chico Hot Springs, approximately 30 minutes from Livingston, approximately 60 minutes from Bozeman and approximately 5 minutes from portions of the Yellowstone River. The small town of Emigrant is approximately 10 minutes from the house; Emigrant has a small convenience store, a fly shop, restaurants, a bank, etc.brbr3. THE WILDLIFE. We have regularly seen deer in the yard and between US Highway 89 and the house. There are rabbits which live around the house and have little fear of people. We are told that elk have been seen on the property but we have not yet seen them. From the deck and porch you can see grazing and production fields which, at times, have cows and deer. In the mornings it is not uncommon to wake up to the sound of songbirds.brbr4. THE HOME. In 2014 the home was extensively renovated. The walls in the kitchen were removed and new sheetrock walls were installed, new counters were installed, new cabinets were installed, new appliances (stove, fridge, and dishwasher) were installed and a new vinyl tile floor was installed. The home has a nicely equipped kitchen including two coffeemakers, tea pot, crock pot, electric griddle, waffle iron, toaster and serving dishes. brbrThe walls in 3 of the 4 bedrooms were removed, re-insulated brand new sheetrock was installed and painted. brbrIn 2014 we also replaced all of the carpeting in the house. brbrThe living room has a matching sofa and love seat, side tables, a coffee table and an entertainment center. The entertainment center has a HD television and a DVD/VHS player. brbrThe dining room table easily seats 8 people. There is also a kitchen bar with two stools adjacent to the dining room table. The dining room has a fairly new laminate floor. brbrThe master bedroom has a king size bed, a large bureau with a mirror, two night stands, and a large armoire which contains a HD television. The bedroom which is adjacent to the guest bathroom has a queen bed, a nightstand, a cedar blanket chest and a bureau. The third bedroom has a queen size bed, a bureau, nightstand and armoire. This bedroom has a HD television. The last bedroom is set up as a kids’ bedroom. It has 2 twin log beds and 2 bureaus. It does not have a television. All of the bedrooms have large closets and are nicely decorated.brbrThe screen porch has 2 rocking chairs, a loveseat, 2 chairs, 2 ottomans and table. The deck has a gas grill, picnic table and 4 Adirondack chairs with matching tray table.brbr5. INTERNET/SATELLITE TV. The home has WI-FI. Satellite TV is provided by DISH.brbr6. NEIGHBORS. There is a good amount of space between the house and other homes. The closest homes are behind and uphill from the house. When one stands in the driveway one can see one of those homes and a number which lie between the home and the valley below. We have yet to meet all of the neighbors but the ones we have met appear to be 'the salt of the earth'.brbr7. QUIET. We are struck by the silence only punctuated by the sound of the wind, the songs of the birds, and the occasional sound of a very distant cow.brbr8. ROADS. The main road into the subdivision is paved, however, two of the roads (Arcturus and Corleonis) are gravel. The gravel roads are as wide as the paved road (easily accommodating 2 way traffic) and are well maintained.brbr9. QUESTIONS. If you have any questions or would like further information, please contact us.

We’ve stocked the shelves with teas, olive oil, spices, and a few thoughtful extras to make cooking here feel easy. Our bar includes a shaker, champagne bucket, and plenty of glassware. There are four stools at the counter for seating, plus an extendable dining table that seats 4-6.brbrLIVING AREA: A leather sofa (with queen pullout) and recliner offer the perfect spot to unwind with a book, sip wine, or map out tomorrow’s adventure. You’ll find a curated selection of books, games, a record collection, and a smart TV with streaming options—plus Wi-Fi if you need to check in with the outside world. A gas stove adds warmth and glow on cooler days and evenings. The coffee table has storable stools that pull out for game time. Large sliding-glass doors open to the patio.brbrBEDROOM 1: Framed by large windows, this is your sanctuary. Sink into a queen bed with crisp linens and a plush duvet with a Helix mattress. Enjoy your own ensuite bathroom with heated floors and a walk-in shower. Whether you're reading in bed with the breeze drifting through, writing at the desk, or watching the light shift across the mountains, this space was made for slowing down. The corner chair folds out into a twin bed for extra sleeping arrangements (best for a kid) or a perfect reading spot.brbrENSUITE BATH : Heated tile floors, large walk-in shower, towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, hairdryer, and amenities. We provide plenty of extra toilet paper and towels. We even have extra toothbrushes and razors if you forget yours! brbrBEDROOM 2: Stretch out in the queen bed or settle into the twin pullout chair—perfect for an extra guest or a lazy afternoon nap. The built-in reading nook offers a quiet perch for flipping through a book or watching the light shift across the hills. Whether you’re sharing the space with a friend or claiming it for yourself, this room gives you room to relax, recharge, and feel at home.brbrBATH 2: Heated tile floors, large walk-in shower, towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, hairdryer, and amenities. This room also holds a washer/dryer with detergent. brbrOUTSIDE: The front patio includes a large Weber grill, and patio seating. Our backyard hangout features perennial gardens, Adirondack chairs, and a gas fire pit, with outdoor lighting to set the mood. Perfect for our cool mountain evenings. A tiny creek winds through the aspens, and a large meadow runs from the cabin down to the dirt road. brbrbrThis is a rural location and is only accessible by car. Rental vehicles are available locally and at the airport. You are responsible for having proper vehicles and tires. We require all-wheel-drive/4-wheel drive October through April (and honestly, it’s good to have all the time.) You don't need a high-clearance vehicle. There are maybe 2-3 days a year when chains or studded tires might be desirable (but for reference, I do just fine all winter with snow tires and a small SUV.) brbrDOGS WELCOME: brWe love furry friends! We supply couch cover, extra dog blankets, a dog bed, bowls, and other amenities. $125 pet fee & pet agreement apply and allows for up to 3 dogs. No cats or other types of animals. There is a $200 fee for bringing an unannounced pet. Please ensure all pet waste is picked up. Do not allow dogs to roam unattended. Dogs should not be left alone in the cabin unless they are kenneled. (We can loan you a crate if needed.) brbrSMOKING:brNo smoking or vaping on the property.brbrTHE BEST KIND OF SECLUSION: brThe cabin is tucked off a well-maintained scenic dirt road. All-wheel drive required from October - April in case of snow. (And we do recommend AWD/4WD for Montana all the time, but a 2WD can manage this road just fine in the summer.) The road in includes 4 miles of gravel road--great for walking, biking, etc. Enjoy a quiet spot with incredible stars and lots of open space. brbrWORK & CREATIVE FRIENDLY: brTwo workstations and high-speed internet. You'll also find creative idea prompts tucked into drawers, art supplies, games, and more. brbrLOCAL TIPS:br15 minutes to the nearest general store and restaurants. Yellowstone’s north entrance is 45 minutes away. Hiking, hot springs, and river and fishing adventures are nearby—ask us for our favorite hidden gems! Our quiet road offers excellent walking, running, and biking opportunities with incredible views of the mountains. brbrFIRE SAFETYbrFire pit and gas fireplace are ready for cozy evenings—please follow all safety instructions. No wood fires or fireworks. brbrWILDLIFE: brThe cabin has ample wildlife viewing opportunities. You may see deer, elk, fox, bear, marmots, an array of birds, coyotes or even an elusive mountain lion. We recommend keeping doors closed & screens in place to keep insects out of the cabin. Please maintain a safe distance, do not feed animals and keep all food secured. If recreating outdoors in this region of Montana, we recommend bringing bear spray (and the cabin has cans you can borrow). brbrYOUR HOSTS: We aim to be the kind of hosts that deliver exceptional hospitality, while also being your favorite neighbor. We live nearby, love dogs, and enjoy meeting guests (but also give you your space). We share a few of our favorite spots in our guidebook - but we're always happy to give additional tailored recommendations. brbrPARKING: Easy parking for 4+ cars. (Additional parking, including for trailers and RVs can be arranged; we might need to mow in a little bit in the field.) brbrRenter is responsible for any damage done to the property.brThe owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The owners are not responsible for loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises.
