What could be more romantic than watching the moon cross the sky with moonlight glittering on the water below!br Stroll out into the yard and enjoy the flowers, then step onto the beach to explore rock pools at the edge of the sea. Sit on the beach with the light breeze and the sand between your toes--the kids can make sand castles in the fresh salty air. br Town is only a few minutes away, where you can discover that the historic districts of Biddeford and Saco provide delightful walks. New development has brought cafes (including Panera Bread!) and ethnic restaurants. The mills have been transformed by artisans, woodworkers and many small businesses in the new loft spaces on the island in the Saco River. History and architecture buffs will enjoy the “Museum on the Streets” self-guided walking tour. Scenic river views may be enjoyed from trails, a gazebo and benches. br Funtown, aquaboggin & shopping malls are nearby: To the north, there is Old Orchard (15 minutes), Portland (a half hour), and Freeport's LL Bean store just beyond. To the south, Boston is an hour and a half, Kennebunkport just 15 minutes, and the shopping at Kittery in between.br Boater's paradise: there is a boat launch on the Saco River; kayak rentals for the river/salt marshes to the north/the ocean!
