Mountain Retreat on 10 Private Acres! Wildlife & Mountain Views! #22-ZONE3269

Estes Park, Colorado, United States

!!!New Listing!!! Welcome to Alpine Brook Lodge! (Larimer County #22-ZONE3269) Located in beautiful Tahosa Valley, the home sits on ten pristine, secluded acres nestled between Twin Sisters and Longs Peak. The Alpine Brook flowing down from the base of Longs Peak ripples through the property, attracting moose, elk, deer, bear, bobcat, a variety of birds, and other wildlife. This is truly a mountain oasis. You will love relaxing on the deck, taking in the breathtaking views, and enjoying the fresh mountain air.brbrArguably one of the most beautiful valleys in Colorado, Enos Mills himself (dubbed the “Father of Rocky Mountain National Park” by the Denver Post) homesteaded on the adjoining property. The cabin he built in 1885 is still located on the property. The Enos Mills Cabin Museum is a must visit during your stay (appointment needed). Another legendary mountain man, Kit Carson, had a cabin on the Alpine Brook Lodge property. Though no remnants remain, it was located by the highway near the property entrance.brbrLocated just minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park’s Wild Basin, Longs Peak, Twin Sisters, and Lily Lake trailheads, this is the perfect “base camp” for your hiking and exploring adventures. High mountain lakes abound in the area. Want an afternoon in town Estes Park is a short 15 minute drive from the cabin. Other nearby mountain towns to explore include Allenspark (10 minute drive – fill up your water bottle in Crystal Springs!), Lyons (30 minute drive), and Nederland (45 minute drive along Peak to Peak Scenic Byway). The drive from Denver International Airport is only 1 hour and 20 minutes. brbrThe lodge has been thoughtfully and lovingly decorated by the owners. Scandinavian touches throughout speak to the family’s heritage. The house accommodates up to ten guests with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, but come together for meals, games, and family time. The main level has two spacious living areas, each with a beautiful stone fireplace. There is a breakfast area in the kitchen, as well as a large dining area in one of the living rooms. The kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans, standard coffee maker, electric kettle, crockpot, waffle maker, and more. There is also a propane grill on the deck with ample outdoor seating. The master King bedroom, equipped with an ensuite full bathroom with jetted tub, is on the main level. This level also has a Queen bedroom, as well as a full bathroom. Upstairs, two spacious bedrooms share a “Jack and Jill” bathroom (shared shower room, private toilet and sink area for each bedroom), making it a perfect space for kids. One bedroom has two Twin beds while the other has two Queens. The lower level is a wonderful game room where you can curl up on the couch with a good book, do a puzzle, play a board game, or challenge each other to a game of pool. The couch folds out if you need an extra bed.brbrThough this is Alpine Brook Lodge’s first summer to be offered as a vacation rental, property manager (and neighbor ) Laura is not new to property management. (She also manages her family cabin - check out the 5-star reviews at VRBO #1808724). Feel free to message her with any questions you may have as you plan your perfect vacation. She is happy to help with restaurant and activity suggestions, hiking recommendations to fit your group’s abilities, and answer any other questions you may have.brbrBook your mountain escape today!

All bed linens are professionally laundered off site. br brBathroom:brThe adorable full bathroom is decorated in traditional 1920’s finishes and a fly-fishing theme. It features a shower tub combo and a full-size washer and dryer for your use. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, laundry detergent, etc. are all provided. brbrPlease note, there are several surrounding cabins nearby in the area, including a shared driveway with our long-term tenant at the cathedral cabin, so if you’re looking to be secluded in the woods this might not be the one. However, its proximity to town and its peaceful and quiet setting still feels private enough for you to relax and enjoy your time both inside and out.brbrAccessibility: The cabin is generally accessible in all seasons. The short driveway to the cabin is paved although there is a slight hill getting up to it which can get icy at times. Like most mountain towns, driving a 4x4 or an all-wheel drive vehicle in the snowy months (Oct-May) is generally recommended. The driveway and entrance to the home is all on one level. There is only a small step from the gravel driveway to the cement patio, and another small step up to get into the cabin. The outdoor staircase seen in the pictures is to access the side street and the unfinished basement. The living space is all on one level.br brThis location simply can’t be beat. To get to the nearby restaurants, shopping, river-walk, and festivals at Bond Park, simply drive or walk (to avoid traffic and finding and paying for parking) down the hill to town. brbr**Not many rental cabins can offer the rare combination of rocky mountain charm with a hot tub, fireplace, washer/dryer, AC, and proximity to both town and Rocky Mountain National Park. This rental is perfect year-round for couples, friends, and families alike. ** br brbrRules: be respectful, no early check-in or late check-outs, and unfortunately no pets, no smoking, and no parties brbrGuests are asked to please start a load of towels, to load and start the dishwasher, and to take the trash out upon check out.brbrbrThis is not just another boring vanilla rental. This is our personal vacation cabin and our only rental for our locally owned family business. We hope our hospitality blows you away compared to the large corporate run rentals in the area. As such, every detail has been carefully thought out and the cabin has been lovingly decorated to give you an incredible Estes Park/RMNP cabin experience. We want you to make wonderful memories here with your friends and loved ones. We know you have many options, and we thank you for considering our vintage cabin for your stay. Your next adventure awaits at the vintage Estes Park cabin! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
